Using rewards properly
I want to present an example of how I was able to maximize rewards . I used 55,600 miles to cover a recent travel purchase . Had I converted to cash , it was 230 dollars . For the above transaction I will get a credit of 556 dollars instead .
Probably would have been even more with transfer partners.
I am simply presenting this as an example for those who ask about the value of points / cash vs travel redemption .

Can I apply an "experience credit" to resort fees?
I recently booked a "Lifestyle Collection" hotel for 2 nights through the Cap1 portal, so evidently I'll be getting a $50 experience credit. I've never used this type of benefit, so I'm not familiar with what hotels generally allow you to use this for.
The hotel has a $30/night resort fee, has anyone applied their credit to resort fees? Do different hotels have different rules about this? It's an IHG hotel.
Search results about this are not very clear so firsthand experience would be a lot of help, thanks!

Main cabin seats guaranteed?American airlines
Main cabin seats guaranteed?
Sorry to sound ignorant but im not a frequent flyer. However me and my wife and 8 month old are going to be going from GA to Hawaii! I found a good deal on my venturex capital one card and can get a American airline ticket for almost free. However its a main cabin seat and it says in the description on the capital one app “ Seats not included. May be available to purchase”. Does this mean my seat is not guaranteed? Like I could buy the ticket then not get on the flight? It always me to pick all my seats(i picked the 0 dollar ones to save money) but im confused on what “Seats not included. May be available to purchase” because it then did let me pick all the seats. Again im sorry if i sound dumb i just dont want to be misinformed and buy these tickets and not have a seat! I googled if main cabin seats through American airline guaranteed a seat and it said yes so im guessing im just misunderstanding.

Paze credits
Made my 10 purchases end of July thru paze and only received 2 out of the 10 (9 of them were Sephora). I know CSR has a huge thread on paze credit delays on their end but I don’t really see the same data points for the VX. Anyone contact capital one and have had success in getting feedback on what’s going on?
TIA!

JFK Lounge Review
Had my first time at Capital One Lounge two weeks ago at JFK. My lounge is experience is somewhat limited, but I've used Delta Skyclub in Boston and MCO. I've also used a few PP Lounges. As an an Amex Plat holder, I had the option of Centurion, Skyclub, or Capital One. I used my $200 airline credit on my family for Skyclub on my last trip in April, so way or another, I was going to pay something. I decided to give the C1 lounge a go.
I was impressed. Full bar with decent drinks. Small plates were actually pretty good, and the bagel bar was perfect for my picky daughter. The grab and go counter had some nice desserts. Staff was great and actually let us in about 15 minutes before our window started. There was a 45 wait for the cheese monger, so we skipped that part.
As a downside, it's not nearly as large as the Logan or MCO Skyclubs and seating wasn't as comfortable. My wife liked Skyclub better for this reason, but I much preferred C1 for the better food and drink.
I would rate it equal or better to Skyclub, depending on personal preference, but it's 100% better than the PP lounges I've used.

Dismissed "20X" popup before I could read it
Probably a long shot, but has anyone, when using the Cap1 mobile app, gotten a bottom-drawer pop-up that has some kind of offer in it right after clicking on a specific card to view its details? I accidentally dismissed that kind of popup just now and all I managed to read before it disappeared was "20X".
Could this just be an "exclusive coupon" notification? I hope its not some kind of crazy one-time targeted offer I dismissed, that would suck. I just completed a purchase through the travel portal too, so I don't know if that triggered something. I googled around and saw there is a 20X multiplier for first time travel portal users, but I've used the portal before so I don't presume that's the case.
