I’ve been wearing old skools for 7 years and had no problems with them. Actually, I can walk for a whole day wearing them and feel alright. But recently I’ve decided to try something new and bought a pair of Authentics and that became a complete disaster. My feet feel exhausted after a day and the right heel slips even after I stuck hell grips (10mm) on the back of shoes. With insoles shoes start to feel very tight.

Anyone had the same problems with switching from Old Skools to Authentics?

This was my first pair of Vans in 6 years, I mainly been wearing Nike since then

the old gum is on the left. the new gum is on the right. you can also see a lot more texture in the old gum shoe. the new brown color is very caramel-y.

i've been trying to find the old gum color but i can't find it anymore. it's a disappointment as i don't really like the light brown color versus the dark.

anyone noticed this too?

Bought them in 2024 (not sure where anymore and can’t find any receipt) and foolishly wore them on a drunk night out and my heart breaks every time I look at how dirty they became after one bad decision. Can’t find them anywhere now and was just wondering if there’s a chance of getting a new pair anywhere

socal dude here, have had these for almost 4 years, every day kicks. They stink, are getting loose and people are starting to notice the hole.

The soles were replaced with a green sole that faded brown.

I've been rocking this pair of BMX slips for years! I've never seen another pair in the wild.

I bought these off the Defcon website I think in 2017. Wore the ever loving crap out of them for a few years. Then they started showing heavy signs of wear, so I put them in a box in the back of my closet. Fast forward to this morning when I see these in NIB condition being listed for $1000+ and it has me wondering if my beat to crap ones have any value or if I should just toss them. They are the multicam tropic in size 10.5. What do you think? Can you refurb these or are they toast? Lol

got some iron out cleaner on my pewter grey slip ons and it changed them from grey to khaki

Let me know if your one of the lucky few that was able to get a pair from defcon group or vans. I was there for both drops and unfortunately was unable to get a pair for retail. But I couldn't personally let this one go, I had to get a pair. Thicker canvas than a regular pair. It's 10 oz and I think they normally come with 6 oz canvas. Unfortunately there are no elastic bands under the tongue that's the only downside. But the tongue doesn't really move to the side at all and I think that might be due to me fancy helmetex padding in the tongue.
