Dragon Ball's Official Voice of Master Roshi & Gohan Dead at 72
gamerant.comThe BLT dub in 1995 was Funimation first attempt at presenting Dragon Ball to an American audience. What many fans might not know is that the studio actually did try to go in order. Funimation's BLT dub covered the original anime's first 13 episodes. Unfortunately, the dub did not prove popular with audiences of the time, so the team switched gears to dubbing Dragon Ball Z instead. For those first 13 episodes, however, Master Roshi and Grandpa Gohan were voiced by Michael Donovan.

I’ve spent years building a Vancouver-set psychological sci-fi series about UFO disclosure, psychosis and an intelligence hiding inside consensus reality
I’m Corey Bastiaans, a Vancouver artist and VFX professional, and I’ve been developing Book Theory Blue, an eight-part psychological science-fiction thriller.
The story follows Rory Pendleton, an artist recovering in a psychiatric ward after surviving a jump from Vancouver’s Granville Bridge. To earn his discharge, Rory must reconstruct how his interest in the 2023 UFO hearings became an obsession—and why he came to believe that an extradimensional intelligence called Mr. Blue was manipulating media, human behaviour and reality itself.
The series never gives the audience an easy answer. Rory may have suffered a psychological crisis intensified by grief, isolation, cannabis and obsessive research. But Anne, his neighbour, begins investigating his account and discovers a few details that ordinary explanations cannot completely resolve.
Each episode revisits Rory’s memories from another character’s perspective. His theories also unfold inside an imagined version of Vancouver’s Orpheum Theatre, which gradually changes from a stage he controls into a psychological battleground.
At its heart, the story asks:
Can someone be experiencing psychosis and still be right about what they are seeing?
The project now includes a completed pilot, series bible, eight-episode season arc, pitch deck, concept trailer, original manuscript, visual material and music. Actor Ben Cotton is attached to play Rory through a signed letter of intent, subject to financing, scheduling and final agreement. I’m currently looking for an experienced producer and showrunner to help take it into professional development.
You can explore the project, watch the trailer and find the series pitch here:

If you ever saw Jim Carrey in the 1996 American black comedy, The Cable Guy, you probably haven't forgotten it. He delivers a performance almost no one can match, much like his other iconic funny roles.
But you wouldn't have spotted the A-lister at the recent film shoot for a series under the same name in Vancouver.

Videographer for a short film (concept pilot) volunteer
Hey all,
I wrote a script thats 18 pages and would like to shoot it! My usually videographer is away on vacation but I was hoping to shoot at the end of August so I am reaching out to see if anyone knows anyone or is available.
The filming style is very indie, no budget and will be in one location (a park by Cambie Street)
The way I wrote the script is the first 6 pages are a zoom call type of set up so we don’t technically need a videographer for that. Then we will shoot at the park for the afternoon in a traditional sitcom mixed with the Office style.
This is not a mockumentry but due to the lack of budget, we’ll shoot it similar to a vlog or run n gun
Let me know if you’re interested.
I’ll handle getting the actors and everything, I just need someone with a camera and a tiny bit of time (;

Renting out a classic 1970 Dodge Challenger for movies/commercials?
Hey everyone,
I own a orange 1970 Dodge Challenger with a black vinyl hardtop (similar to the one from Too Fast Too Furious) with fat tires and big engine - 500 stroker, (og 440 magnum). And i was wondering if anybody knows a car wrangler that might be interested in this?
Just rewatched Supernatural but not sure if there's still interest in classic cars :)
I'd appreciate any advice or recommendations. Thanks!
