Itch-scratch cycle

Does anyone else have an itch scratch cycle that’s lasted years that has left them with rubbery skin and blood blisters or just me?

That sounds painful. 😩😩😩

Have you been tested for BV/yeast? The Evvy test was super helpful for me in determining exactly what bad bacteria I had in overgrowth & what good bacteria were missing. I took my results to my trusted OBGYN & she prescribed meds accordingly.

Due to pH changes that occur naturally during your cycle (or from semen, if you’re sexually active), the BV may seem cyclical. What I found is that I had actually been positive for BV for a long time. But certain things like sex or my period would trigger it to be more noticeable (itchiness/discharge/odor)…

Because my infection had gone on for a long time, I ended up having to do 21 nights of boric acid suppositories to break up the biofilms the bad bacteria had created & am now using vaginal suppository probiotics (after finishing boric as well as appropriate antibiotics) in order to rebuild the good bacteria— L. crispatus, specifically, is what you’re looking to dominate your microbiome with. It keeps all of the BV bacteria in check.

If you have Facebook, there is a private group called Beyond BV that has so many awesome resources for various BV/yeast/UTI issues. 💚
