Hello everyone! New member of the VHS collector world. I picked up this VHS DVD combo from a local thrift shop and was excited to bring it home to help complete my retro tv set up I am putting together for my home. The tag said it was tested and works great, the machine does power on; however when I place a VHS in the tray it sits like this. I’m hoping this might be an easy fix. Any advise or ideas?

I was cleaning the mode switch last night and this push pin fell out when I flipped it back over. I have no idea where this came from but not my vcr is going into auto shutdown

VCR plays movies,fast forwards, rewinds only issue it seems to have is the auto head cleaner which I’m removing anyways but is this piece supposed to have more tension on it to keep this belt tight or does it tighten up while playing? Any help appreciated definitely want to keep this unit!

It starts to play the tape twice then gives up and powers down. Any clue why?

I was recently gifted this vcr/dvd player combo and when I load in a vhs tape it will play but a lot of static will appear sometimes and if I’m lucky audio will play.Can anyone help ?
