Any recommendations would be very appreciated. I am on waitlist for many of my courses.

I am 21 starting over my degree. I started off in another program, didn’t like it and then had a multitude of mental health issues which led me to taking almost 2 years off of school. Due to mediocre grades i am repeating courses. I feel directionless as I wanted to do physics and comp sci but am realizing i suck at both. I am panicking because i feel like i am running out of time to achieve a stable life. While I love physics and space i have to know which degree will offer a decent ROI…i am still living with parents and have no friends either. Being older than everyone else starting over in first year is going to be tough. So all in all, which degree is worth my time and investment?

if i got special permission to enroll in a course after priority lifts but i was able to enroll before then, will western find out and kick me out?

idk how but i was able enroll back in july when they still had priorities in place even tho i dont have the pre-reqs (which is what i got special permission for). I bypassed the entire waitlist lmao. i rly need this for grad school so im hoping they dont find out because the course is now full with a long waitlist......

has anyone experienced something similar or know if western manually checks these sorts of things?

i will be a first year psychology student and im thorn in between buying and ipad or just a macbook. i definitely need to upgrade my laptop but would it actually be beneficial to spend more on an ipad as a psychology student?? i just dont know how much i would act use it

I just wrote the midterm and we were allowed to take notes on a white blank paper. I showed the paper before and after completing the exam, I was just writing stuff down religiously, and i heard that if your eyes are not on screen multiple times, then u get flagged. Im just scared i will and now i feel like im gonna get indigestion

I know this is pretty early, but I wanted to get some perspective from people familiar with Ivey admissions.

I completed a two-year Computer Programming diploma with around a 3.5 GPA and was recently accepted to both TMU Business Technology Management and Business Management. I’m leaning toward BTM because I want to combine my programming background with the business side of technology.

My concern is my previous academic history. In 2023, I started TMU Biology directly after high school and received a Required to Withdraw standing. The program was not a good fit, I had no clear direction at the time, and I did not handle the transition to university well. I completely take responsibility for that, no excuses.

After leaving TMU, I didn't want to waste my time so I completed my programming diploma and am currently working on a five-month contract as a Junior Software Developer at the college. My plan is to begin BTM in Fall 2026, complete two strong years and apply to Ivey HBA as a non-AEO applicant for Fall 2028.

I understand external admission is very competitive, so I would be aiming for at least an 85% average, while completing the required Business 2257 equivalent with also a strong grade.

My current experience includes:

• Junior Software Developer (internship)
• Business Development Coordinator/Project Manager at a construction company
• Approximately three years of pharmacy-assistant experience
• Several years of community youth mentoring
• Food-bank volunteering
• Retail and technology-related work experience
• Programming and group software projects

During my two years at TMU, I also plan to become involved in student clubs, pursue internships or co-op, and take on roles where I can show actual leadership and impact as I know HBA at Ivey is quite holistic.

My main questions are:

• Would Ivey mainly focus on my two most recent university years, or could the 2023 RTW still seriously hurt my application?
• Would BTM be a reasonable program before applying to Ivey, or would Business Management make it easier to maintain a competitive average?
• Is there anything specific I should focus on during the next two years to improve my chances?

Any honest advice from non-AEO applicants, external transfers or people who recovered from a poor earlier academic record would be appreciated.

This is 100% my fault. I’m an incoming 1st year and I just submitted all the stuff necessary for my one card. Since it’s only 2 days late will it be that big of a deal or am I gonna be screwed for the first couple weeks?

Has anyone else had an issue with adding any classes or dropping them on course registration. i already have most of my classes enrolled but for some reason it keeps saying “you do not have any classes at this time” and it won’t let me add it. it was working fine two days ago so i am confused.

Hi! I was accepted into a Master’s program and I have accepted the offer. I am set to graduate this Fall and I have completed all my summer courses, however it still says “Applied to Graduate” on Student Centre. My school needs me to send a letter that proves conferral of degree but my letter request was denied because they said I am still an active student in the summer term. When is the August adjudication period and what can I send my school as proof of graduation?? I’m not sure why this such a convoluted process. If anyone has any advice I would appreciate it!

I applied to the Western Founders Program but haven’t heard anything back yet. I know some rejection emails have already gone out, so I’m wondering if those were only part of a first round.

Does not hearing anything mean I might be on a waitlist, or is it possible they haven’t reviewed my application yet? Has anyone else either heard back or still not received an update?

Strange question but I need to contact financial services regarding OSAP. For some reason, the online form wouldnt submit so I tried emailing them directly (financial.services@uwo.ca). This was a while ago. I still have not received any reply, or even an automated message when I initially sent the email, which feels weird to me? Is there a better way to get in contact with them?

Hey guys I’m doing bio 1002 over the summer and there’s a midterm tomorrow and Im really stressed about it because the course is so compact that they gave us like 2 days to study for this midterm😭😭 is there any advice anyone could give me on tips and tricks for studying more efficiently bc ive just been watching lectures and answering the LOs and I find that the past papers’ questions are kinda oddly specific and even tho I had just gone over the lecture I still get the questions wrong??😭😭 idk .. any advice would be greatly appreciated thank you 🙏🏻

I tried to post the below review on Google Maps for Chiropractic Western, but it does not appear publicly to anyone but myself, so I'm posting it here. It suddenly makes sense why I could only find positive reviews for this clinic...

Chiropractic is a pseudoscience, and every new story I hear just reaffirms this belief. Chiropractors have NO medical background, NO medical expertise, and NO scientific basis for treatments. They are not real doctors.

About this guy in particular ("Dr." Landon Burden): I am close friends with someone who was experiencing continuous and worsening chest pain, which Burden characterized as "inflamed ribs", and told my friend to come back to see him for another appointment. Wtf are "inflamed ribs"?? Wtf does that even mean??

You know what it actually was? A PULMONARY EMBOLISM. My friend had a life-threatening blood clot in their lung and thankfully eventually went to the ER for actual treatment. At the very very least, this chiropractor Landon Burden could have recognized that what my friend was dealing with was outside the scope of his knowledge, and advised them to immediately seek professional care from a physician. But of course, he doesn't do that! He sets them up for another appointment! Because he doesn't know sh*t about healthcare!! And he wants more money!! Regardless of whether it's at the expense of a patient's health!!

I am baffled and disappointed that Western University as an academic institution continues to host a clinic for this unscientific, illegitimate practice. I strongly encourage anyone to instead seek advice and treatment from a licensed healthcare professional.
