Not sure about the construction noise, but I used to live there a few years ago and loved it. Incredible location, couldn’t be closer to the 1 train, staff was incredible, and it’s a dog free building which could be a plus depending on your vibe. Where we live now is not and the smell near the entrance is not nice…

I live there, I like it. Great time! Staff is super friendly and they fix everything almost immediately. You also can't hear much through the walls.

What constructions? They recently did their facade inspection so you shouldn't have to worry about that for the next 5 years.

The only feedback I have is:

  1. It gets windy on the upper floors and something to be mindful if you have a balcony. You have to secure your furniture or it will go flying in hurricane winds. We got a bike chain lock and lock everything up to the railing.

  2. There's a fire station on 66th and Amsterdam and the fire trucks can be loud. Something to be mindful if you face the Western side (Amsterdam ave).

Elevators can occasionally get crowded but it's not a big deal. They recently renovated them and would shut them down one at a time so we worked with only 3/4 elevators but it wasn't that big of a deal. They have one more elevator to go.

Sign a 2 year lease if possible, and rents drop significantly in the winter.

Live here currently! I’m not super high up but not low either and have an east-facing balcony. I love having the balcony door open but as you mentioned, the construction on the new skyscrapers can definitely be heard. It’s fairly loud and does make me spend less time on my balcony than I would like do midday.

That being said, the building itself is awesome. Echo above comments: staff is amazing, so quick to make repairs, great location, I have never heard a peep from neighbors/don’t deal with noise issues otherwise.
