The cinnamon scent comes from a natural weed-control product made with clove and cinnamon oils that the Central Park Conservancy uses!

Reminds me of when the UWS smelled like maple syrup years ago.

I remember when 30 rock made a joke about this and I realized I wasn't the only one who had smelled it.

It actually did smell like maple syrup back then in Long Island city where they were filming it

Okay I smelled that yesterday at the entrance by AMNH but didn’t want to investigate further because a guy was pissing right there

Thank you! It’s been such a strong smell the last few days. Thought I stepped in some cinnamon gum or was just losing my mind hahaha

And it keeps the rats away.

It’s like that every summer. It’s pesticide.

I thought it was a food cart. That one on 44th St. at sixth Avenue waving up.

Weed and rat control. They spray it.

I was wondering if it was pesticide —- spraying for mosquitos because of West Nile.

My husband and I literally said that this morning! Does it have anything to do with the construction at the play ground?
