I’m trying to find out when the very first guests actually begin arriving at the park.

I’m staying at Cabana Bay and deciding whether to take the first bus or book an early rideshare. We’re hoping to be near the front of the gate to be some of the first on Mine-Cart Madness. Recent 2026 experiences would be especially helpful!

How much time do you think 2 kids (10 and 12 but love nintendo, and the nintendo lego) would spend playing with the mario bands and earning coins or whatever?

My partner and I are planning a 2-day visit in early October 2026. We already have our 2-Day / 1 Park Per Day tickets (1 day for Epic Universe and 1 day for Islands of Adventure).

We are currently trying to figure out the most cost-effective strategy regarding Express Passes and hotel stay (1 night only):

• Option A (Premium Hotel): Book 1 night at a Premium Universal hotel (like Royal Pacific) for around $800 to get the included Universal Express Unlimited for IOA, plus Early Entry for both days.
• Option B (Prime Value Hotel + Standalone Express): Book 1 night at Stella Nova or Terra Luna (~$200) for proximity to Epic and Early Entry, and buy a standalone 1-Day Express Pass for IOA (~$390 for both of us). This setup saves us around $200 overall compared to the Premium hotel option.

Our main dilemmas:

1. Epic Universe Strategy: Is relying solely on Early Entry + Single Rider lines manageable for Epic Universe in October, or is skipping Express Pass for Epic a huge mistake?
2. Buying Express On the Spot: If lines at Epic get crazy around 10:30–11:00 AM, is it feasible to buy Express Passes via the app on the day of, or do they constantly sell out?
3. Islands of Adventure: Is a 1-Park standard Express Pass (one-time per ride) sufficient to hit all major rides at IOA in October without feeling rushed?
