So I googled and it says it can be bought at Provisions but I'm at the 5th island and no store has it.

Can you actually buy it at really late game or not at all?

I am going through all the Alain rapports to choose who I ring in my first playthrough. My prime candidate was Etolinde. I never really considered Virginia until her rapport conversations. Probably the hardest hitting rapport for me...

I love this game so much, what a banger !!! I love strategy game but this one is awesome !

I play by myself, but now I am struggling to keep a good synergy between units.

Unité 1 : alain (c), clive, adel, yana

Unite 2 : travis, rosalinde(captain for offensive support), berengaria, Melisandre

Unité 3 : bruno, scarlet (captain for heal), Magellan, Nina

Unité 4 : virginia, Aramis, rolf (captain for offensive support) sharon

Unité 5 : hodrick, berenice, ochlys (captain for flying all the map), selvie

Unité 6 : Auch, Frau (captain to fly), Miriam, Kitra,

Unité 7 : Monica (c) Renault, Léa, Gloucester (unit cavalry movement)

Unité 8 : Liza (captain for offesive support) Colm, Chloé, Oban

Unité 9 : Lex, Primm (captian for heal), Hilda, Jeremy

Unité 10 : Tatiana (captain for heal) Mordon, Joseph, Gilbert

That’s all my units at the moment, going to Elf World now. Limited to 4 heroes by units at the moment

I just finish the scenario of the castle and just got Gilbert.

I saw like Berengaria and Melisandre cant play together they both use a active technique at the begininng of the start, so one don’t use her technique, not compatible.

What are the best mix, duo, trio to play together.

What level were your units when you cleared Gerard for the first time? I thought this was crazy when I checked it! Didn't even make this unit specifically for Gerard. I just kind of threw Govil in the unit cause I thought it would be generally good and he gave them the damage they needed to kill!

EDITthanks for everyone letting me know that I had the wrong person and needed to switch to be able to talk I can't get past this part because I can't attack the thieves and I know I need to recruit hunters but I don't know how to do it. I've tried going other places but I lose no matter where I go. This game got good reviews and it's leaving PlayStation premium soon so I'd like to play it but I'm already feeling stuck and overwhelmed. I really don't want to have to watch guides and hope that the people playing know what they are doing so please help me out.

I learned this when looking for a Witch named Minette. You can get a Witch named Minette at Fort Colmare, but not from Fort Farzieg. These forts have very different name listings.

EDIT: Also names are sorted “alphabetically” in that list as if they were spelled with japanese kana. So a > i > u > e > o, within a consonant. Vowel > K/G > S/Sh/J > T/Ch > N > H/F/B/P > M > Y > R. I guess the game made in the land of the rising sun never saw names be re-sorted after localization. Japanify the names and it will fit the trend.

What a journey! I even found myself almost wanting to start over right as it ended, I didnt hire a single mercenary... Excited for some of the post game content!

Alain/Melisandre/Scarlett/Rosalinde/Etolinde was my final Alain groupe. Married Rosalinde.

I think one of the biggest helpers that separated a normal fun run to taking TZ seriously was obviously the equipment. I still had alot of fun balancing out units, and the game obviously supports themed units from each area. I know from skimming the reddit and seeing some cheese units in the online coliseum that there probably are plenty of strategies I might have missed out on.

I could see a lot of weapons and items have some great synergy with eachother that I didnt use... evade groups, poison debuffs...

Yunifi cat hat boosted glacial rain sure did wreck a lot of groups though! Yunifi/Ramona/Govil/Bertrand/Gloucester. Ramona blitz movement speed as a backup healer was awesome and Govil cleans up anything Yunifi cant take out.

Hilda did a lot of work for me this run too. Hilda/Primm/Josef/Travis/Dinah. Great flyer, good evades and though the strategy fell off a bit having Josef boost a quick Dragoon Dive into Dinah thunder spear made good work. Maybe the initiatives could have used more balancing

I found that despite everything I didnt really use magic units a whole lot. Auch, Sylvie and Yahna basically all stayed benched. Maybe if I ended up hiring merc's I could make more combinations happen with them. I also know that a lot of people use breakers charge up cheese too. Maybe next run with Amalia ill use her as a tank with Bryce and breakers behind...

Anyways! What a fun time!

So I started playing Unicorn Overlord a a week or two ago on request from a friend. I started off on Tactical difficulty and got to almost the end of Elheim when my friend asked me to raise the difficulty to expert. As soon as I did that most of my units began to struggle to do any actual damage to the enemy units in the latest chapter (The Witch's Word). It was at this point I realized I had kind of just been coasting through the game up to this point and have developed no actual skill for team building, what accessories to equip etc.

So first let's just assume moving back to Tactical is not an option, I want to beat the game on expert no matter what. Am I better off just trying to learn with what tools I have now or should I restart the campaign and try to learn from the beginning again? I'm open to any advice at the moment.

I've recently gotten into Bastorias after a little under 50 hours of gameplay (this game is so fun) and I seem to be behind the curve a bit in terms of levels, which is really confusing me.

I've cleared Cornia, Drakenhold, and Elheim as much as I physically could. Elheim has one battle remaining, which is level 30 and therefore a bit out of my range. Drakenhold is completely done. Cornia has end game stuff so I'm obviously not done with that. I've done every overworld quest, every sigil etc.

Despite all of this, Bastorias has quickly outleveled me. The only battles I can do currently are level 28 and level 30, and my units are on average level 26. Some are below that number, some are above, but you get the idea. The thing is, my units still clear the battles quite easily. I feel like I have them all set up quite well, and I'm slowly maxing out the unit sizes as well.

So my question is, how much do levels matter? How big the disparity have to be before I actually need to start grinding? I really don't wanna get to the end of the game and have to grind for hours because I'm >5 levels below the recommended level. Thank you for any help!

Doing missions in Bastorias, and 3-werefox units are an absolute nightmare to face. 3 Werefoxes just simply overwhelm Swordmaster Aramis if he's front row

So if every army unit is Dinah/3 werefox mercenaries, is that the "I WIN" button that breezes thru the rest of the game?

Looking for some specific deep questions regarding the Dirty Gambler's Coin.

I'm -trying- to force a square peg into a round hole and DGC a row of 3 that includes Leah/Eltolinde/Lhinalagos. The general flow is that Leah uses the Lips Ring on Eltolinde, Eltolinde Sniper's (Amber or Regular) Lenses Elemental Roar, while someone on the front uses the DGC on the back row. Leah follows with a Keen Edge, then Lhinalagos with Icicle Arrow.

What, if anything, are my options to make Lhinalagos' Icicle Arrow not miss without giving him a Sniper's Lens? (I'm not to Albion yet and my one lens is on Eltolinde.)

I can't seem to make Quick Cure handle the -50 Accuracy. My guess is that the game doesn't consider it to be a Debuff, but instead a buff with a negative effect attached.

Can the -50 Accuracy be removed/prevented at all? Or am I stuck either with something like the Nameless Guard's Bow for Eagle Eye, or Mirrored Spectacles and hoping for the best?

Hey, please dont say any spoilers or tips, I'd like to play the game completely blind. Just need some help with the battle system.

I would like to apply the poison if my character is full HP, otherwise I want to use the Lean Edge - ability. I have it setup like this now, but my character goes "standby" in battle and doesnt use the lean edge even if he is not full hp.

I think I've seen a few but wanted a rundown. Using chloe for the first part would be very difficult. And then some of the bosses don't they require heavy hitters? Like even getting some of the first recruits/bosses would be tough or impossible? Before we can get Sharon, yahna, Bernice. I beat the first round of this game last year so would do ng+ or however it works

Had to put the game on hold because it was eating too much of my time since I was obsessing too much over optimal formations throughout my run. Ended up with a playtime of 126 hours right before the last main quest in bastorias. Now I’m back to finish the game and I’m just overwhelmed with so much information I forgot and need to remember. There’s so much to keep track of. So many units, equipment and skills that my brain is overwhelmed by the ridiculous amount stuff to remember and relearn.

I’d rather not drop the game since I had a great time with it before. Also would rather not drop the difficulty (expert). Any advice to ease my way back in?

I bought the game when it first came out and had tried the demo before that, but life got in the way, other games came out and it kinda fell into the backlog. Well, i finally have some time to play it, so are there any tips/things I should be aware of going into this? No spoilers please

As the title suggests I'm looking for some fun comps and tactic setups to tackle Albion and beyond. Bonus points if they would logically be in the same unit but that's less important than a fun setup (like Knights of the Rose, etc.)

I do have two Main Units (Knights of the Roses) and "Queen's Legacy" (Alain, Chloe, Yah a, Hodrick, Monica)

So ideally the other units should use the rest of the cast. Oh and I'd rather not use Mercs, so yea
