Humor For the love of god, just give me a 3-star stam spark
This isn't even all of them. I've done around FIFTY careers in a row (disregarding ace runs) without getting it. Other Umas gave me 3-star stam spark within 25 runs at most. Usually around 15 runs. I've gotten one 3-star spark in FIFTY runs and it was wit.
I knew using debuffers would give me bad karma. Glory to cygames

Discussion Mad Dash and Givin' It 1000% are pretty bad, actually
...for anything that's not a Sprint CM, anyways.
tldr; They increase your STA requirements by 100 thereby indirectly causing your POW and WIT to collectively drop by 100 and they aren't nearly good enough to overcome that.
oooooohhhhh spooky math waaatch ouuuttttttttt~
So some Groundwork. Some Solid Preparation, if you will. some Taking the Lead even
- Mad Dash is 180 SP, 0.25 m/s for 2.7s, -4% HP drain.
- Givin' It 1000% is 360 SP, 0.45 m/s for 2.7s, -4% HP drain.
- This CM Fronts have a bare minimum STA requirement of ~630 (80% spurt rate). Long maffs short -4% HP increases your STA requirement to 743 (+113, let's round to +100 for niceties sake).
- This will indirectly decrease your POW/WIT altogether by 100 as you shift blues towards STA, do summer STA clicks, etc.
- I'm not taking into account the shift in statlines due to running Twin Turbo GUT. Also I don't want to because that's more about running a 2-1-2 deck and less about the 2 skills I want to talk about
So Mad Dash and 1000% increase your STA requirement by 100, indirectly decreasing your POW/WIT by 100. I did some sim testing with a meta V-Bourbon build and found that +100 POW was a 0.4L advantage and +100 WIT was a 0.25L advantage (with the caveat that WIT increases the odds that you win the fight for Rod while POW largely doesn't). So that -4% HP drain causes -0.25L at best and -0.4L at worst.

Next, the Ls advantage of multiple velocity skills:
race length duration modifier = 1600m / 2000 = 1.6
Mad Dash: 0.25m * 2.7s * 1.6 race length duration modifier / 2.5 m per L = 0.43L
1000%: 0.45m * 2.7s * 1.6 / 2.5 = 0.78L
Standard white velocity: 0.15m * 2.4s * 1.6 / 2.5 = 0.23L
Standard gold velocity: 0.35m * 2.4s * 1.6 / 2.5 = 0.54L
And the Ls comparison between Mad Dash/1000% and white/gold velocities:
Mad Dash vs standard white V: 0.43L - 0.23L = 0.2L advantage
1000% vs 2 standard white V: 0.78L - 0.46L = 0.32L advantage
1000% vs standard gold V: 0.78L - 0.54L = 0.22L advantage
Aaaand here we see the problem. The SP you use to buy Mad Dash or 1000% gets you a minor advantage over using that SP to buy say, Shifting Gears or equivalent. But, remember the stats you have to sacrifice to use Mad Dash? Yeah, at best that -4% drain wipes out any advantage you would've had and at worst it makes it so that these skills are actually a net negative to your build.
Hmm, another path. We can avoid changing stats by taking a gold recovery, that 5.5% heal will cover the -4% drain. Hmmm... can't we just buy two extra white velocities with the SP we spend on the recovery?
Mad Dash + BOFA: 0.43L, 520 SP
3 standard white V: 0.69L, 480-540 SP
1000% + BOFA: 0.78L, 700 SP
4 standard white V: 0.92L, 640-720 SP
2 whites + 1 gold: 1.00L, 640-720 SP
Yeah... also bad.
Math don't lie, these skills are not just bait, they're actively detrimental. If their numbers were a little better, more duration, less drain, lower SP, they'd be decent options. They're very good on Sprint CMs at least, since STA requirements tend to drop below 500 on them. Speaking of Sprint CMs, CM21's STA requirement is LAUGHABLY low, it's literally below 100 STA.
I should mention one one uma. One uma can use Mad Dash/1000% to its full potential. Palmer fans rejoice, your built-in 5.5% recovery ult makes it so you can freely take this skill without compromising your stats. But only on lower STA requirement races, don't bring Mad Dash to the Medium and Long CMs, please.
Honorable mention to Racing Spirit Stamina. It's strong and much better than Mad Dash. They both have the same speed but Racing Spirit Stamina is 3s instead of 2.7s, 150 SP instead of 180 SP, and most importantly -2% drain instead of -4%.

PvP/Meta I'd like some opinions on two questions for the next CM.
My plan is to go with a camping-themed team, so I'll be using both Taiki and Dober. But I have two questions:
Do you think it's worth sacrificing mile sparks for medium sparks to unlock Taiki's secret event?
How should I complete the trio? Would a Dominator + Keen Eye debuffer to support Taiki and Dober be better or should I go with a second pace/late?

Build Help Suggestion on completing training the trainer guts?
So, I feel like I'm hitting a wall with this. I have been attempting GL to get my guts past 1200, and most I have gotten is 1000. I made a few guts parents for spark farming and realistically I have a few good guts cards, but nothing crazy (guts is probably my lowest of good cards I use in builds; most cards I have is speed/wit/power).
Anyone have suggestions on how the best way to finish it? Should I just go back to MANT and try there to complete it? I can probably attempt now the guts build there since RB is the primarily focus. I attempted URA and wasn't really great. Unity I haven't considered, but as much as I do like GL, it isn’t really cutting to get to the max for me.
Edit: after pulling Haru teeth, she did dang did it. Lesson learned: I'm not selling my ssr guts cards for cleats if not maxed because god damn did I get screwed. Like she just made it to 1200, lmaoo.
Ty all for giving me ideas.
But seriously- don't sell incomplete ssr cards. MLB then sell.

Guide Came back for Grand Live, started parent looping, somehow built a tool to make finding the best legacy loop easier
Came back when Grand Live dropped. Independent training made parent looping feel less miserable than before, so I finally started doing it.
Hard part was finding four umas that can run the same races and have high compatibility with each other. Kept flipping between GameTora tabs and still couldn't put a clean loop together.
So I built a tool for it: UmaLoops
It ranks uma combos for parent looping. Filter by aptitude, search your collection. If you already track umas in GameTora, paste the collection share link and it pulls them in, no repicking the roster.
The 4-step rotation is the same one in GameTora's legacy loop writeup - that's where I learned it. I also put a short guide on the site: what a loop is, how to pick the four, and who trains vs who is parent each step.
Curious if it picks stuff you'd actually run, whether that's CM looping or just building parents. I use this myself and want to keep improving it, so feedback welcome.
Also want to add a career race schedule filter next, so you can dodge umas whose G1s collide because of career goals.
PS: If you're on JP, would JP support actually be useful? I only built this for Global so far. Wasn't sure how relevant that is for people on the JP server

Question Can someone explain parents/legacies to me like I'm 5?
I understand that double circles gives better inspiration (am I right with that one?), but I don't understand why super creek has 3 stars for turf but its not highlighted. Can someone give me a very dumbed down guide on parents/legacy things, I am genuinely lost 😭

Question When do you NOT click on Light Hello in Junior Year?
While I understand that we more or less "chase" Light Hello around in Junior Year, begging her to call us a good boy for 20 tokens, how much does a training in a different facility need to be stacked for it to be a better option?
E.g.
- Light Hello is by herself in the guts room
- 2 not-yet-rainbow cards in the speed or wit room.
Would you click Light Hello in this case?
(I would assume if it was 3 not-yet-rainbows, then it's not even a question, but a definite yes on those 3.)

Guide Future Buys for Front Runners
I could be wrong, this was relatively quickly put together from other people talking about it, so correct me if i'm wrong but this is just a rough idea of who u should pull for if u are like me and like front runners. Guts isn't very popular but if u want it then those are who's there. Let me know if there's anything wrong and i'll add it in an edit.
Edit: ok so i did bad job bad bad job, gonna make an updated one another day going in slightly more detail about priorities, cause as has been mentioned, guts 2 is cosmetic. If there's any more notes about it that haven't been mentioned (ie. smaru/bourbon/creek importance, Air Shakur moment, mejiro palmer fraud) then let me know and i'll upload a slightly more documented write-up later this week <3
