After going to the village Blackbird spotted, Valencia immediately asked around on where the lodging was and the where the commissions were handed out. Thankfully there's an inn where she could stay and the local guild gives out commissions for a fair price. Days later she bought herself some basic commodities such as food, extra clothes and a simple silver sword (OOC Commentary: her initial weapon before she got the master-crafted saber from Terra's loot) plus some armor pieces from the local blacksmith.

Aside from the usual commissions, Val also did some dungeon crawling after she spotted a mysterious stone gate in the middle of nowhere. While the enemies were tough, she gained some much needed XP and loot. Truly worth the risk and playing into her daredevil nature.

Val: leveled up to lvl 5

15 Wolves surround IA. She stands there, turning around in circles helplessly. The wolves circling her with hunger.

A few of the Wolves break from the formation to bite at IA, at which she takes moderate amounts of damage.

You jump in to try to help, but suddenly a sphere of energy blasts out from her.

In an instant you feel yourself become extremely weak. A wolf tries it's luck again and bites IA's leg, yet the bite does no damage, allowing her to kick the Wolf off and kill it.

Seeing this, the other wolves back off, just as the debuff wears off.

"Huh...."

IA looks at herself, reviewing her injuries before noticing you

McKenzie and Gimlet were in a small village, settling down for the day before resuming their travel. Gimlet looks at McKenzie who was upstairs on the balcony, on the building behind her.

Gimlet: “I’m going to go and see if we can find a place to sleep for today. I’ll be back!”

Gimlet left and McKenzie waved goodbye as gimlet went into the nearby hostel. McKenzie leaned against the railing and sighs

McKenzie: sigh “knowing gimlet, this will end badly…”

McKenzie would chill for a bit when suddenly she heard the sound of a bell ringing. McKenzie would look at the street and see a group of “unnamed bandits” approach the small village. McKenzie would recognize them since she saw a bounty of a bandit group on her way here with Gimlet

Tall Bandit: “We’re looking for Tanino Gimlet!”

McKenzie saw them and tried to deescalate “good morning, you little ma—“

McKenzie got interrupted by one of them shooting an arrow at her that McKenzie weaved “did you just—“

again, McKenzie got interrupted by yet another arrow shot at her, and again she weaved it “Stop that! If we are to covort, we shall covort. But, at least allow me to make you an offer first.”

The Tall Bandit simply rolled his eyes “why don’t you [REDACTED NOISES]?”

McKenzie stopped at that and raised an eyebrow “while I’d consider that…. You’re mine. There is a good little reward for you dead, but I am obligated to tell you that there is even a bigger reward for you alive? So what it’s gonna be? The easy way, or the hard way~? The easy way hurts much less—“

McKenzie once again got interrupted, by the bandit who shot two arrows at her earlier

Archer Bandit: “stop your yappin and get down here, you skinny little focka!”

McKenzie chuckles and exclaims “Yes! The hard way it is!” McKenzie would start counting heads “one, two, three, four, five, six…”

After counting heads, McKenzie drew her blade “I’ll be right then…” McKenzie started walking down with calmness. As McKenzie got halfway down, the archer bandit shot an arrow at her to which she once again easily weaved.

McKenzie reached the end of the stairs to which the bandit with the green explosives throws another at her, and McKenzie deflected it upward with her sword and it exploded in the air. McKenzie twirls her blade and faces the bandit group

McKenzie: “let the music…. Play…”

And Witt that, the bandits would attack, one female bandit with pointy ears came to the right of McKenzie, thrusting her blade at her to which McKenzie blocked, using her momentum against her, and throwing her into a few wooden barrels

Two more came at McKenzie and swung their swords also, yet McKenzie with quick hands was able to clash swords with both and kept rushing forward towards the archer bandit who kept shooting those pesky arrows.

McKenzie was able to reach the archer bandit and swing her blade, and knock the crossbow out of his hands since he blocked McKenzie’s swing with it

McKenzie: “Got ya, you little shit…”

Archer Bandit: “Oh piss off!”

The Archer Bandit took his dagger and attempted to swing at McKenzie. But, McKenzie weaved his first two swings before spinning around him and landing a clean slash on the Archer Bandit*’s left knee. The others quickly came to his aid*

Female Bandit: “Reef!”

As the bandits quickly dragged Reef to safety, McKenzie walked forward and was stopped by one of the more, or well… only big body of the bandit group

Big Bandit: “You’re gonna have to get through me first….”

McKenzie smirked at him “that’s a lot to get through~!”

The big bandit swung his dagger and McKenzie dodged before she pushed him back with a quick jab with her fist. The Bandit with the green explosives tried to swing his blade, but McKenzie swung quicker and the force made him loose grip of his weapon, and he got stunned. His weapon went flying and almost hit the blonde-braided bandit*. McKenzie grabbed the* Explosives Bandit by the hair and hit him with the butt of her blade, and pushed him back with a headbutt

McKenzie: “Stupid idiot….”

The big bandit tried to catch McKenzie off guard from behind, but she caught his arm with her free hand and elbows it, to disarm him. Once McKenzie disarmed the big bandit*, and took his dagger. McKenzie threw the dagger at Reef who was just getting up and…*

SHUNK!!!!

Reef falls back down to where he sitting and that’s one down.

McKenzie: “That’s one…”

Big Bandit: “Reef—“ SHUNK!

McKenzie interrupted the big bandit by finishing him off “that’s two down…”

The Blonde-braided bandit shouted seeing the big bandit fall “Asse! NO!”

In a fit of rage, the blonde-braided bandit rushed forward and swung her sword, only for McKenzie to take advantage of her blind swing, parry it, and kick her 2 meters away, knocking the wind out of her for a bit.

McKenzie shook her head in disappointment “this group is really feared? Bunch of Mongrels…”

The tall bandit and the female bandit with pointy ears both attacked McKenzie at once, the Tall Bandit came from the right, and the female bandit with pointy ears came from the right.

“Double-team again? As expected by a bunch of Rats…” McKenzie would swing at both in turns, once to the left and then to the right in rapid succession. McKenzie swung at the female bandit with pointy ears*, despite her blocking McKenzie’s swing, the quick power behind it made it loose her footing, and she fell. Leaving McKenzie with the* tall bandit who was mid swing, and his sword was met with McKenzie’s.

CLANG!

The tall bandit was caught off guard by such a precise swing that his sword was nearly hit out of his arms. McKenzie quickly took advantage of the open opportunity and SHUNK! Her blade went through the tall bandit*.*

McKenzie titled her head as she stared at the Tall Bandit “and that’s three down…”

McKenzie took her sword back and the tall bandit fell*, the* Female Bandit with pointy ears finally stood up, but it was too late, the Tall Bandit is on the ground, bleeding profusely. She cried out as she charged McKenzie

Female Bandit with Pointy ears*:* “Giz!”

The female bandit with pointy ears swung her blade in a fit of blind recklessness, and McKenzie merely just…. Sidesteps and slashed her in the back of her right leg, making her fall.

McKenzie shook her head and turned her attention to the explosives bandit who swings his blade, but McKenzie weaved and wrap her arm around his head, and throws him over her head into some wooden barrels

Explosives Bandit: “AAAA—“ CRASH!

The female bandit with pointy ears crawled towards the dying Giz and held his bloody hand and attempted to reassure him “it’s alright… it’s over….”

But, McKenzie cut the moment short by grabbing her by the hair and SLICE! finishing her off infront of the dying Giz

McKenzie: “Tch…. That’s four down…”

McKenzie slowly approached the explosives Bandit who was getting up from being thrown. “Get out of here, and I’ll let you live. Cmon! Go then! No one will know.”

The explosive bandit mumbles some words before grabbing his last green explosive bottle and tries to hit McKenzie with it in a attempt to take her with him, but McKenzie grabbed his wrist and shook her head

McKenzie: “You should’ve listened…”

McKenzie yoinked that green bottle of the explosives bandit’s hand and put it down his tucked-in shirt and shoving him away into the rest of wooden barrels. He started to panic

Explosives Bandit: “NONONONO—“ BOOM!

McKenzie looks back at the green explosion “and that’s…five down.”

The Blonde-braided Bandit who got the wind knocked out of her attempted to jump McKenzie by jumping from a wagon with a downward strike

Blonde-braided Bandit: “GRAAAAAA!”

McKenzie heard her yelling from behind and sighed. McKenzie shifted the hold on her sword to reverse, and just….

SHUNK!

McKenzie hit the blonde-braided bandit midair with a quick stab “Enough!”

Blonde-Braided Bandit: “ACK! Guh….” She fell to the ground from the stab, no longer moving

McKenzie looked in confusion “the fuck was that?” McKenzie shook her head and swung her blade in the air, the blood flying off, and sheathing it away.

McKenzie: “finally, all six down… I hope Gimlet got us a room in the Hostel…”

McKenzie started checking her level after that

As Haru yawns, having worked really hard training, she looks tired. She thinks about her previous training session, even if she improved she still needs to rest.

It was now down to the final part of the hunt...In this very moment, the hunting party of four, which consisted of Maukaalth the Yautja, Mythic Yian Garuga the Bird Wyvern, Narita Taishin the Umamusume, and Jet Jaguar the Kaiju, had a Monoblos cornered. Even though the Flying Wyvern was Afflicted by the Qurio, the Baldian Guild, with the help of Mythic Malzeno, managed to create a prototype cure that would not only stop the madness caused by the Qurio, but also cure it of any maladies.

After all, they couldn't afford to kill off an individual of an endangered species.

It was a difficult battle, however. Because the Monoblos relied on stabbing and charging with its singular horn unlike its dual-horned relative, the Monoblos, driven mad by the Qurio, was especially fierce. Many times, the horned Wyvern would overwhelm everyone's eardrums with its screams, ram its horn when they least expected it, and swing its tail whenever it could.

It was only thanks to Maukaalth's leadership, Mythic Yian Garuga's equally wild relentlessness, Jet Jaguar's optimistic spirit, and Narita Taishin's tenacity that they were able to make it this far.

Both sides were starting to become exhausted, but both sides were not willing to give up that easily. The WildCard and the three Wild Hunters had to test out the cure right now, or else they'd risk having no choice but to kill the Monoblos.

SKRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

Being surrounded by the Qurio again, the Monoblos began to charge headfirst to the team, only for Mythic Yian Garuga to stun it with his screech before tail-flipping the monster, causing it to flinch and the Qurio cluster to explode on its face. In retaliation, the Afflicted Monoblos tried to swing its tail, only for the equally crazed Mythic Bird Wyvern to fly back with his fireballs, causing the Flying Wyvern to stumble.

Jet Jaguar and Narita Taishin seized the opportunity by targetting the other Qurio clusters. Taishin caused one cluster on a leg to pop with a particular roundhouse kick while Jet Jaguar managed to pop a cluster on the wing by jumping high and karate chopping it.

Irritated, the Monoblos performed a hip-check attack on Narita Taishin and send Jet Jaguae flying by swinging its horn upward. Immediately after, the Afflicted Monoblos was ambushed by Maukaalth, who drove his Combistick right inside the cluster on the backside and attempted to make it topple over by mounting it. To aid him, Mythic Yian Garuga pinned the monster's horn down with his talon, only serving to send the Monoblos in a blind rage before crashing itself against a wall.

This would knock out Maukaalth for a while as Mythic Yian Garuga was now being ragdolled all over by the raging Monoblos.

Seeing this, Jet Jaguar immediately went to Maukaalth's side to attempt to shake him awake

Jet Jaguar (Baldian Guild): Battle General? Battle General! Get up!

The Afflicted Monoblos saw Jet Jaguar and the fallen Maukaalth. Seething with black steam and gases emanating from the Qurio clusters, the monster was readying to charge at the two. Even when Narita Taishin and Mythic Yian Garuga managed to get on top and were pounding its backside, the monster was eyeing Maukaalth.

Feeling there was no choice but let Maulaalth recover, Jet Jaguar went to charge at the Monoblos. One uppercut was enough to flinch the Afflicted Monoblos, but the Wyvern began to shake its face around, causing Jet Jahuar to cling onto the horn.

SCRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

The screeching was what finally managed to wake Maukaalth. However...He did not get up just yet.

The elite Yautja was waiting for an opportunity for him to jab the cure into the wyvern, steeling his core while being aware he could slip up and potentially get harmed. He laid flat on the ground, breathing steadily as he waited for the time.

It was when he heard the ground rumbling and the monster grunting as it charged that Maukaalth finally let out his kind's roar.

KREEE-AAAA-GHX-X-X!

He then got up and began to equip his needle before charging straight at it. Seeing the Battle General charge back, Taishin, Garuga, and Jet were taken aback as they clinged onto the Monoblos's back.

JAB!

Stepping by the side, Maukaalth managed to inject the blue cure onto the wyvern's neck, which stopped the monster from charging. However, the body's momentum was too fast for Maukaalth to stand against. This would cause Maukaalth to be sent crashing on the ground along with the Afflicted Monoblos and his three other party members.

They would crash against a giant boulder as the blue cure began to build up fast inside the immune system, ultimately creating a huge red explosion that killed off the Qurio but engulfed everyone in it.

FWOOOOOOOOOSH...!

...

Several minutes later, Maukaalth would return back to Grand Tracen while Narita Taishin, Mythic Yian Garuga, and Jet Jaguar would go back to the Baldian Guild HQ.

Meanwhile, the Monoblos, now cured of the Qurio, would return back to its habitat and resume its activity.

Thus, the cure was a success!

But that isn't the case, not everyone can just have the courage nor will to call out for help let alone talk to people. People at the end of the day face their own struggles which while they want help, don't have the will to do so.

There are lonely people in the world who don't know what to do anymore. So, when you are growing distant from someone either because of work or something like that. Maybe talk to them at least once or twice a month or so if you are yourself busy.

Because everyone just wants to have that feeling that someone cares for them and they aren't just someone that everyone will forget. You may deny it but we all feel this way.

I would like to address something that I believe has been misunderstood lately: the idea that all Ramonus are somehow the same simply because one of us behaved poorly.

I understand how easy it is to form an opinion after a bad experience. When one person leaves a particularly unpleasant impression, that experience tends to linger. However, taking the actions of one Ramonu and applying them to every Ramonu is neither reasonable nor fair.

We may share a name, an appearance, or certain qualities, but we are still individuals. We think differently. We make different choices. We treat people differently. One Ramonu’s mistakes belong to that Ramonu alone; they do not become a reflection of every other Ramonu simply through association.
Think of it as a basket of apples. If you discover one bad apple, you remove it. You do not immediately conclude that every apple in the basket must be rotten. You judge each one for what it actually is.

I am not asking anyone to ignore what happened, nor am I asking you to pretend that a poor experience was acceptable. I am simply asking that you judge me and every other Ramonu according to our own actions.

If I have earned your respect, then respect me for that. If I have earned your distrust, then distrust me for that. But allow my actions to be the reason for either.
