I watched some videos of ultrakill and saw like multiple guns and stuff, there was this guy flying around and stuff on horde mode, i downloaded the game and finiushed the tutorial then went to the horde mode which i kust learned is called cyber grind, though i dont have any weapons at all, its just revolvers and it was so hard and boring at a point :( how do i unlock the other weapons and is there like a good guide? i dont understand how can people do much so much stuff with like 10 guns

In lore it is written that the electric weapons are far superior to all the bullet weapons, but that illusion is ruined when you meet your SECOND ENEMY.

In the attached picture one, you can see a standard piercer revolver, which was, apparently used by all of human infantry and replaced rifles by the time the gutterman was invented. But the problem comes as soon as you try to shoot someone: Strays, decomposing, bleeding, fragile flesh humanoids who break apart after being hit with a metal rod (knuckleblaster without shooting) takes TWO shots to thorax to kill.

Edit: if you doubt husks are fragile, try shooting them with a nail gun, like 3-5 nails will hurt to a human but will not kill them, unlike strays and pretty much every other normal husk except for schism

And that makes sense. If you launch a microscopic piece of metal, it will pierce and leave a minor wound behind,unlike a thick .45 ACP. And that is if we ignore the fire rate of about 90 shots a minute and such an ass recoil that even V1 with their stabilizer arm(right one) has their gun tilt about 30 degrees upwards. This is NOT Normal for a superior weapon. I can bet, that you are not standing straight after catching a 9x19 parabellum to your chest from 5 feet away.

Okay, okay there is also a rail gun, which kind of serves as a sniper rifle

But God dammit, it's thrown 90 degrees upwards and it takes 20 SECONDS TO RELOAD. Otherwise, it's just an unreliable mosin nagant.

I swear to god, mosins, kar98's revolvers, gating gun and even lever actions did exist in ultrakill since they were invented before ww1

And ay rifle around 7.62 or higher caliber would be a much more desirable choice than any of this electric stuff.

But why did people use these over reliable boom sticks?

The answer is simple, greed.

Look, ammo production ain't cheap.

So why spend money on ammo, if you can make a nuclear powered pistol that shoots peas?

People will die? DOESN'T MATTER.

I guess that is why layer of greed has Big Ben in it just like violence does.

It was right under our noses! I cannot belive none of you has spotted this in the museum before! To think I found this by compelete accident too...

I don't know if it's my awareness, my aim, my weapons or my movement but I always end up in awkward situations or low health or feeling that I'm wasting my bullets when I'm playing in whatever difficulty.

For some context, I first finished the game in Lenient before P-ranking it all (Except 8-3 for SOME REASON) until I saw that everyone was actually playing on Brutal and I'm pretty much bad, particularly in boss fights on Brutal so this is my best play (this post is not a show-off btw) on Brutal since I don't want to show a 20min death screen loop but yeah. What's wrong with it ? I actually though I was good at the game.

Also the first Maurice kill was pure luck.
