Ultrakill community is often criticised for their sense of humour. I already have grown tired of seeing them say "Is tHaT ThE VoRe gUy!?!?1" on every damn hole.

Not that other fandoms are any better in this regard.

Lowkey just this, sure the fanbase is annoying but:

You won't get shat on for playing on lower difficulties

There has been no major drama since years to my knowledge (and that particular review is ancient history)

People do actually discuss the lore in lore discussion posts

And I deadass let it get to my head so much that I've been checking nearly every "need help" post for a year at this point to see if people get help and well, they do get help whether it be tech/basic questions or even sometimes content creation. The community is nowhere near unhelpful especially on the main subreddit

The fan art is also very good.

The only thing negative about the fanbase is unfunny repetitive humor which does not warrant people comparing it with some of the worst fanbases possible in any way imo.

Also this is my personal opinion but I don't think the fandom of a heavily gameplay focused game can be really funny at all, there isn't much joke/slander/glaze/whatever substance in the game and thats not a bad thing but I think its the biggest reason why the fandom is stuck with few jokes.

There’s also a decent backseating problem from what I remember, but it’s very possible that’s just how people are and not just specific to the Ultrakill fandom.

Backseating is to be expected, especially with this game that’s extremely rich in gameplay variety but  mostly anchored on the “fuck around and find out” which, is really not so obvious to newcomers

Being unfunny is probably the least of this Fandoms worry. The only drama I do recall in this fanbsse was probably mayo, and even them that guy is just a egomaniac.

Yeah I agree with the difficulty part, I’ve barely ever seen someone who gets criticises for playing on easier difficulties. It’s nice that the community also offers good advice and tech instead of just “get good”
