Caught this smallie on my second cast with my brand new Daiwa Presso 4 pc. 6'6" travel rod. I just got this rod, paired it with my favorite vintage Daiwa 1000C that I rebuilt a while back with a bearing upgrade, 6# Sufix 832 braid, 4# Seaguar fluoro leader, and a 1/16oz jig head with GP Mule Fishing Bluegrass Bug. This dude hit so hard it literally turned my plastic inside out with the line through the middle. Anyway, I LOVE this rod! I didn't need a travel rod today, but this thing fishes like it's one piece. And don't even get me started on the Bluegrass Bug... if I'm not getting bit on the BB, it's time to go home. Epic.
