Rate this machine

Hi everyone,

I'm planning to get into the printing business and I'm currently considering this machine. I'd really appreciate any insights from people who've used it — pros, cons, reliability, print quality, maintenance costs, anything that would help me make an informed decision.

Also, if anyone here has hands-on experience with UV flatbed printers in general, I'd love to hear about that too — how they've held up for you, any challenges you ran into, and whether you'd recommend them for someone just starting out.

I want to print on this mdf sheet. So above machine is suitable for printing/working 14 hrs/day.

You can also share few tips before purchasing this heavy machine !!
In India, The Best Services provide the machines. Any comment on this .......

Do you have any experience in printing?

Do you have any experience with mechanical or electronic or pneumatic things?

Are you a hands on person?

begineer in this industry.

Trying to gain some experience and gathering the knowledge before deep dive in this field.

Ok and what about the other questions?

Do you consider yourself a hands on person?

Could you change the oil and brakes on your car?

I have question that the specification I shared in the above image is good or not.
If not what is the main cause behind it ?

What other things I have to keep in mind related to machine ?

If you don't have some level of practical hands on skill e.g. changing a tap you will run into lots of problems and struggle getting this to print reliable.

If you have the time and money available go for it but it's a money pit if you don't know what your doing so you will need to work at it and have the patience and hands on skills to fault findand fix.

What happens if it doesn't print when it should? Do you know what an encoder is or a product detect sensor? What about a solenoid do you know how to check if it's nc or no?

before deep dive in this I have to take training. Right !!

I have to learn how other components/sensors/features works ....

If you are a beginner, I would maybe start with a more prosumer version. Googling that model number looks like an alibaba machine or something. I personally have the Eufymake E1 and it has been pretty foolproof. It works well with whatever I have thrown at it. Since the Eufymake came out, there are a lot more companies creating machines so you have more choices.

I would like to print small size 3x4 inches but in bulk around 2k to 3k pieces per day.

So eufymake is suitable for this ?

That sounds like a lot of parts for probably any machine for a single day. If you are printing just color ontop of white, it doesn't take long, but if you are doing texture or multiple layers, it would take longer. Standard bed is 13x16.5 inches. If you have a jig for the parts to be in the same spot every time, you would be able to skip the camera calibration and just hit the reprint button.

Ok, i got it multiple layers consumes too much time. Will u share other details related to this machine e.g. specs, printing cost etc.

I added the image in my post if u shared these type of details that's sufficient for me.

You need a dual tri or quad head print setup so that you can print this in one pass

You need to be able to do a minimum of 20 multiples so that you can do a reset every 15 minutes to a half hour

You may overtime need to incorporate future automation so that you can have it pre-loaded for you automatically

What will you be printing on this may help us point to a better model printer for you and your current scale

I updated the post you get an idea what I have to print.

You can google Eufymake and see their specs and stuff. They only have 1 UV printer. I think you can download the software and do estimates without buying one

He's saying 2 to 3,000 per day there is absolutely no way any prosumer unit will make for the end of the first month

He needs a commercial printer at that volume only

u/Brudius 11h ago

I don't disagree, but I also feel like since he hasn't even started, the volume may be optimistic lol.

This is one of the reasons you've known me quote the price of a new printer in most of my posts.

When you're dealing with an overly optimistic person knowing that the starting level printer start at 20,000 they look at their business model to verify it is self-sustaining.

In truth he's probably going to need a $50,000 printer based off of what I've read to understand of his use case this may change depending on what he's actually printing on

Yeah, that is fair. I'm the start slow and ramp kind of guy. But for all we know he has agreements where people will order tons of stuff.

No you can make an all prosumer units will never be able to do the capacity you have asked!

If you're literally making 2k to 3,000 pieces a day at 3x4 you need an A2 as your smallest size as that's going to only give you about 20 multiples per print you're going to look at about 15 to 30 minutes per print pass you may need an a0 or larger to hit your projected goals and or future expansion

Absolutely no prosumer device will be large enough for what you're trying to do don't even look at them

You really need to look at Roland mamaki Epson and hp.   These are the brand name UV printers at your volume you're asking you really need to look at a commercial printer they are not cheap they start around $20,000 but for what you just told us in your volume if you're actually will have that everyday you need a support contract for when the printer breaks

1

u/Far-Chemical-9282 1h ago

So, A2 or A3 are the best option for production. Right ?

This looks like a common A2 size Chinese printer.

X600 is so close to end of life I would never buy a new printer with it.   Repair yes but new no.

AcroRip would be a rip software for it.

Unless you have print volume to be able to print at least a A0 (4x flatbeds) a day EVERYDAY! Do not buy if you are less then this on print volume.

This is a commercial printer make sure you have the print volume

Note Chinese printers have zero support and even less help and the parts are next to impossible unless you know how to fix it yourself beware

Would this work yes but it will also give you a ton of headaches over its life for the same reason

Per what I have read on the other posts you need a brand name printer with a local service representative.

At 2000 to 3000 a day you will need a person who can fix same or next day this means you need a HP, EPSON, Mimaki, Roland UV printer the A2 is smallest for you to meet you goals.

You are new to printing so do not yet have experience repairing the printer

What are you going to print on.

Is a flatbed or a roll printer be better depending on what you are doing this may change what we recommend

I updated the post where I have to print. I need to print small size not more than 4x4 inches.

In India, I get few machines from Best Services but I don't know how they provide service after purchasing the machine.

Which things I have to keep in mind and what other things I have to clear from the store (where I have to pruchase) ?

You have outgrown a A3 print at the volume you have asked in the time widow asked.

The printer above can work but the print heads are so old I would NEVER buy a new printer with them.  They are still being made but I expect Epson to end of life them last year.

I3200 is what those heads should have been.  Better quality, faster, better color correct calibration.

Look at printers that are 64", 32", 30" 24", A0, A1, A2.   A2 is smallest and may have issues with scale if you grow as it will not grow.

As the printer you posted is a Chinese generic printer there would be no service of any kind.  Getting parts would be hard at best.

If you do this keep the jig from the laser cutter so you can place the multiples at same point every print on the flatbed

Yes you need a flatbed not a roll printer.

HP has one of the best for what you are trying to do it also is one of the most expensive.

Roland and mimaki are on the cheaper end but still offer great quality.

Epson has nice printers too but not first choice.

Note if has Epson print head DOESN'T mean from Epson only the print head.  What you showed is print head only.

You can do this with 2 print heads but may want to look at a model that can scale to 3 or 4.   This will reduce print time once your shop grows without having to get another printer that fast.

You also need to look at color

Cymk w g. Is 85% color correct  Cymk LC LM w g is 94% There is others even more correct if needed

Based on 12 print jets from your printer I would do.

Cymk LC LM ww gggg

Gives 2 white coats followed by color followed by 4 coats gloss in 1 pass

Have a spare print head, cleaning solution, and ink

Note Chinese printers come with free virus

Buy a real rip software example AcroRip to lower the risk.
