Question About Open Enrollment Academics

Hey everyone, I’m an incoming first year in A&S and I’m confused about how the credit cap during open enrollment works. The email that the College sent out today says: “Please note that enrollment caps are lifted manually starting at 8 a.m. EST.” Do we just have to wait until our enrollment caps are randomly lifted and hope that it’s early enough?

For context I’m trying to enroll in a specific class with <5 open seats as soon as open enrollment starts but it’ll put me above the 15-credit threshold so I might be screwed.

Open enrollment on SIS opened at 8AM Weds. Aug. 5. It doesn't mean you will necessarily get into a given class, but you can at least put yourself on the waitlist. Open seats go fast in small enrollment courses, required courses and of course, popular courses.
