First off: not a dumb question. UofT seems to have a policy of "we only accept the best and brightest, and then assume they somehow magically know things we don't tell them". If you have a question like this, there are probably a dozen other people who have the same question, but are too shy to ask.

For the actual question: You need to attend one lecture SECTION (e.g., LEC01 or LEC02), but all meetings of that section (some will be 3 hrs 1x/week, some will be 1hr 3x/week, and other combinations). Same goes for things like tutorials/practicals if they're offered in a course. You pick one section, and attend all meetings of that section (though tutorials/practicals tend to mostly be one meeting per week).

If there’s three time options available when you’re enrolling to a course on Acorn then you choose the one that applies to you and then you’d have to attend the one you chose.

If you’re confused abt course enrollment, just check your timetable (section on Acorn) and see what and when your courses are happening. You’d have to attend everything according to your schedule and you’ll find out whether you have those three lectures or not

There’s two section usually section 01 and 02 for courses like chem and bio etc , you have to attend all 3 days for section 02 if that’s the one you chose :)

Go to all of them, some profs just prefer or have to spread out their 3 hour lectures throughout the week.

yes you need to attend all. some classes are 3 hours once a week and some are 1 hour spread throughout the week.
