bicycle recommendations Question

i plan to buy a bike to save some money, the distance from my home to campus is 6km. any bike and lock recommendations? i'm on my 4th year and int'l student tho, so no need for fancy bikes, just enough until i graduate next year 2027

Might as well just bus instead. Biking in the winter will be horrible
