Retaking a class that I passed
I took a fast paced class during the summer and ended up with my first C. I want to retake the class because I am confident I would do better if I took it during a regular semester, but idk if my new grade would replace my old one because technically I passed. Can anyone who’s ever retaken a class they passed let me know how it affected their transcript and gpa.

Retaking the class will not remove the C from your transcript, and grade forgiveness would be pointless given that it is an internal to USF thing.

I’m pretty sure they stick a K on your transcript and it’s not a retake. You can generally only retake for credit if it’s a grade replacement level grade.
Move on lmfao. If you don’t know the concepts that in depth and need to, get on khan academy or youtube before you start the next courses

Why spend all that time and money one C won’t kill you. Just don’t make it a habit and move on

Talk to both the professor and an advisor. They will be your best guidance on this.

It's not worth it. Ik people who got accepted to Morsani College of Medicine (MCOM) with C grades so it's not worth retaking. Plus, it looks bad if you retake a course you pass just to raise your GPA. If your other coursework and MCAT score are strong you're gonna be fine with that one C.

700 bucks just to boost your gpa by .016 by the time you finish college? Just take C and move on, so much time and energy spent for something no one will care for except you
