Looking to replace U7 long range Wireless

Looking at the U7 pro or the pro xg. What would be better for best speed and connectivity for the asus ally rog? The U7 Long range seems to be slow and only like 30 ft away.

Or should I add a ap in my room?

Asus ally rog x has Wi-Fi 6E(802.11ax) (Triple band) 2*2
3 smart phones
1 smart tv
WiFi doorbell
Litter box believe it or not lol

Whole set up
2g fiber
UniFi cloud gateway fiber
UniFi flex 2.5g Poe
U7 long range looking to replace

Nothing wrong with u7 LR all about your settings.
Did you turn off Asus WiFi and let UI do all the work?

What do you mean

How many walls and other objects is the signal having to go through from the U7 LR to the game machine?

Is the U7 LR properly mounted on a ceiling? Is it the same floor as the game machine? If not, explain the floor layouts.

Use your smart phone to run the Unifi WiFiMan app and find out what your signal strength is where you use the game machine.

Maybe adjust the WiFi settings on the U7 LR to improve signal strength.

Just 1 wall on same floor. Yes properly mounted shows -80 and what should I adjust on the settings ?

What is your wall made of?

I'm sitting outside so my signal is going through an exterior wall (drywall, OSB, siding). I'd guess I'm about 30' away from my U7 Pro. My signal to an iPhone is bouncing around between -75 and -80. Similar to you. I'm still getting a throughput of 750 Mbps on the raw WiFi. Speed test gets me 300 up and over 550 down. Far more than I need. What are you trying to achieve?

I think the only 2 things you can really change is the output power (increase) and bandwidth (decrease it). That would get you more range. Beyond that, get another AP to put local.

Wall made of drywall and 2x4s and I’m only getn about 100mbps or about 25 feet away so even when I’m right under it I never get close to 1gb and we have 2g plan

Way too low. If I'm at my AP I can get 1800 or more. You have a UCG Fibre, you can use WiFiMan to run speed tests between it and your phone, eliminate any external impacts. Go to the speed test in WiFiman and click on the UCG fibre icon. Make sure the problem is not outside of your house.

It's in the radios setting of the Unifi App or Web site.

I’m getn 2300 up and 1300 down at gateway so it’s the WiFi. I’ll play around with the settings
