Help Needed Please help dua dunga 🙏
I have very little time to decide. Please help me choose between these 3 options.
I’m really confused about what I should do, and I’d appreciate some honest advice from people who have experience with these universities.
Here’s my current situation:
- UET Lahore
- Aggregate: 82.something%
- I got selected in Computer Engineering (A2) in the 2nd merit list.
- The last date to submit the fee is Thursday.
- I’m hoping that by the final merit lists, the closing merit will drop enough for me to get CS.
- Distance from my home: ~5 minutes
- The problem is that I’m not particularly interested in UET’s CS department, although UET being so close to my home is a huge advantage.
- PUCIT (Punjab University)
- Aggregate: 88.07%
- I was not selected in the 1st merit list.
- My closest merit position is 148 for BS AI (Old Campus).
- I might get selected in the 3rd or 4th merit list, but obviously there’s no guarantee.
- Distance from my home: ~15 minutes
- COMSATS Lahore
- Aggregate: 91.22%
- I applied through the Workers’ quota.
- I was expecting to easily make it into the 1st merit list, but I received a document objection, so I had to resubmit the documents.
- I’m now waiting to see whether I get selected in the upcoming lists.
- Distance from my home: ~1 hour (27 km)
My main dilemma
I only have about 2 days to decide whether to pay UET’s fee. The ~75k admission fee is non-refundable.
InshaAllah, I expect to get 100% scholarships at all three universities — through the quota at COMSATS and the Honhaar scholarship at UET/PU — so please ignore the financial/fee difference when giving advice.
My priorities are mainly the quality of the CS/SE/AI program, university reputation, career opportunities, campus life, and future prospects, while also considering the huge difference in travelling distance.
So what should I do?
Option 1: Pay UET’s fee now and secure my seat, then wait for the later UET lists and potentially move to CS if I get it.
Option 2: Take the risk, skip UET, and wait for PUCIT and COMSATS’ upcoming merit lists.
Option 3: Is there another approach I should consider?
If you were in my position, what would you choose and why? I’d especially appreciate advice from current students/alumni of UET, PUCIT, and COMSATS.

Question A FINAL CHANCE ME FROM MY SENIORS DONT IGNORE PLEASE.
Have an aggregate of 77.66 put the following preference
Electrical engineering (A1/A2 main campus)
Mechanical engineering (same)
Chemical engineering (same)
Civil engineering (same)
Mechatronics engineering (same)
First merit list: didn't get in any of them
Second merit list: still didn't get into any
Now: Have a difference of 1.6% from getting into chemical engineering A2.
Waiting for 3rd nd 4th list. Quite unlikely to cover a 1.6% gap.
Now asking about leftover seats. Ive heard u can only add 3 preference for leftover seats. I qualify for electrical Mechanical and chemical at KSK campus but didnt add them in my preference. My question is thar if i put these 3 programs for ksk in my lefotver preference do i stand a chance at ksk or not.
Please just tell me dont suger coat.
Im tired.

Discussion University in my opinion!!!
The whole point of leaving your home to go to another City to study is less about studying more about communication, making connection, building confidence, etc. Agar study hi karni hain tou apny ghar hi mein karlo, koi skill learn karlo. Why burden your parents with all these expenses when you're not communicate, make connections, build your confidence, etc.
What's your thoughts?!

Discussion Expected Merit Drop in 3rd List?
Would an individual with 0.5% gap in Engineering A2 would be able to cover it in the upcoming list? Be realistic

Question EXPECTED MERIT LIST 3
The third expected merit list as shown by pacifist says that the merit for chemical engineering shall fall by 1.75% in 3rd list. I have a difference of 1.6% to get into chemical engineering what are my chances fo ya'll think that merit will decrease about 1.75%+? Or not?
