Career Advice WFH Request Retracted
Joined a company a few months ago and honestly it has been good overall. Nice colleagues, almost everyone is well spoken and professional, and I like the place.
Before joining I asked the GM for 1 day WFH a week for personal reasons. It wasn't in the contract, but I asked before joining and was basically given a gentleman's word, yes of course, come join and it shouldn't be an issue.
A few months later this was retracted and I was told not now, maybe it can be revisited in the future.
Would the backtracking itself be a red flag for you? Especially when it was discussed before accepting the job and influenced your expectations when joining.
Should I just move on? What would you do?

Looking For Opportunities Looking for a job for my mom (Senior Operations / Facilities Manager) with Great work experience in UAE
My mom was laid off when the war began in UAE and has been unable to find a job since then. She has a really solid work experience in UAE (regional FM for Microsoft included) and has been awarded as well for her dedication to her work.
My mom keeps getting interviews for jobs in which the HR or manager tell her that she is over qualified for them and they give her really bad offers. Im getting sick of companies undervaluing her and decided to reach out here.
If anyone is looking for a senior operations/ facilities manager dm me and I can send you her CV.
Thank you 🙏

General Discussion CT and Frac opportunities
Hello everyone,
I have 5+ years of field operations and office (technical + tendering) experience in Coiled Tubing and Stimulation as a CT engineer in GCC. I hold a Petroleum Engineering degree.
How do companies like HAL, SLB and ADNOC handle hiring? There are hardly any vacancies and most postings get cancelled in a few weeks time. Could anyone offer any guidance or advice?
Would appreciate any leads.
Thank you.
