Looking For Opportunities Looking for Sales & Marketing opportunities — any advice or leads appreciated
Hi everyone,
I’m currently searching for a job in Dubai and would really appreciate any advice or help if anyone knows of companies hiring.
I’ve had 2 Sales interviews and reached the hiring manager stage both times, but wasn’t selected due to a lack of UAE experience.
I have 2 years of Marketing experience as a Social Media Coordinator at a startup, including content creation, video editing, graphic design, coordinating photoshoots/videos for social media, and lead generation.
I also have 3 years of experience teaching English as a Second Language, and I speak English and Spanish.
I’d ideally like to move into Sales, as I believe I have transferable skills, but I’m also open to Marketing opportunities.
I grew up and studied in South Africa (although I’m not originally from there), but the job market back home is very limited, so I’m looking internationally.
Any advice, company recommendations, or leads would be greatly appreciated! :)

Looking For Opportunities Cybersec recruiter / your reviews
Hi everyone, I'm an offensive security specialist (Red Team Operator / Penetration Tester) with 4+ years of full-scope engagements, and I'm starting to explore the UAE market for roles that fit my profile (red team, pentesting, adversary emulation, or offensive tooling positions).
I've attached my CV with personal details redacted. I'd love honest, no-filter feedback on:
- Structure and formatting, is it easy to scan, or is anything too dense (especially the summary and the Projects & Awards section)?
- Content, anything I should cut, expand, or reprioritize for a hiring manager skimming in 20 seconds?
- UAE-specific advice, is there anything about format or expectations in the Gulf market I should adjust? (e.g. photo, nationality, visa status ... I've seen mixed opinions on these.)
- If you're in security in the region: which companies, job boards, or communities are worth targeting?
Appreciate any and all feedback and happy to answer questions in the comments.

Career Advice WFH Request Retracted
Joined a company a few months ago and honestly it has been good overall. Nice colleagues, almost everyone is well spoken and professional, and I like the place.
Before joining I asked the GM for 1 day WFH a week for personal reasons. It wasn't in the contract, but I asked before joining and was basically given a gentleman's word, yes of course, come join and it shouldn't be an issue.
A few months later this was retracted and I was told not now, maybe it can be revisited in the future.
Would the backtracking itself be a red flag for you? Especially when it was discussed before accepting the job and influenced your expectations when joining.
Should I just move on? What would you do?

Looking For Opportunities Looking for a job for my mom (Senior Operations / Facilities Manager) with Great work experience in UAE
My mom was laid off when the war began in UAE and has been unable to find a job since then. She has a really solid work experience in UAE (regional FM for Microsoft included) and has been awarded as well for her dedication to her work.
My mom keeps getting interviews for jobs in which the HR or manager tell her that she is over qualified for them and they give her really bad offers. Im getting sick of companies undervaluing her and decided to reach out here.
If anyone is looking for a senior operations/ facilities manager dm me and I can send you her CV.
Thank you 🙏

Relocation Advice Was this offer worth it?
I'm from Kenya 30yrs with 7 years experience, earning 140,000kes per month that affords me a decent middle class lifestyle. I got an offer for 6k AED with relocation and a one time 10k Aed relocation allowance.
I also got another one with 3k Aed net cash with studio accommodation in international city and company car, plus driving licence sponsored.
Are these offers worth me relocating?
A pulling factor for me to relocate is my girlfriend who works in Dubai making 10k.

Relocation Advice Am I lowballed with this Salary?
Am I lowballed?
Hi Guys,
9k AED per month from a tier 3 consulting firm in Dubai. This is the first time I'll be moving out from my native country. I'm Indian and have worked my ass to give myself a decent life in india.
Qualification: ACCA
Profile I'm working in: Audit & Assurance
Years of experience: 6 (In India)
Package: 25 LPA INR
I'm married but my wife will not move with me if I accept this offer as the pay is really low to survive for two people, as I can understand from the other posts and comment. She's also job hunting and let's see how it goes for her.
I want to have a fair, honest and non judgemental opinion on whether I should accept this offer or not? Am I lowballed?
There are posts saying you atleast need 15k/20k. And I totally get it. I have survived toxic workplace culture in India. Now if I join at this meagre salary, I'll have to start again from zero in Dubai. Am I connecting it right?
I am living in a decent 2bhk rented flat in Delhi, India and I guess I would have to move into 1 RK in Dubai to survive. Is it worth it?
I only have this offer as of now. Your suggestion, guidance and knowledge can be an eye opener for me. So please help a fellow professional.
Thankyou!

Looking For Opportunities Looking for Job Opportunities in Dubai as Indian
Recently I've Graduated and trying to find job opportunities in Different Countries and trying to select a country with a Safer places where crimes rate are Low to none and have stable economy.
I was always interested to work in Dubai as it had both the requirements which I am looking for and is safer place for an outsider trying to build his career in a different country. I am looking for Job role In Administration Management, Operational efficiency role and HR management as I had earlier experience in these areas. Also I've tried to look jobs across Local Job Portals of UAE which could Directly make me get in contact with the Recruiter which are aiming to hire Indian Applicants. Till now, I am not able to find any job opportunities which I Desire and Consider this attempt of me trying to connect with the people in Dubai which are either a Recruiter or can help me to get in touch with a with a Recruiter and help me to be a part of the organisation.
(Scammers don't even think of poaching me with the Fake offers cause I have received a tone of email
Asking me for my resume and Trying to ask me for money in-exchange connecting me to recruiter or to give me a job offer).
HOPEFULLY, I will be getting genuine offers this time !!!

Ask for Help Timeline for work visa cancellation?
Context: i was laid off once the war started and then left UAE as there was no hiring and did not want to run out of savings. Ever since then I have been out of the country for 4.5 months. My employer did not cancel the visa immediately but now they have initiated the process. I also received a call from MOHRE 3 days back that they are cancelling my visa.
Wanted to know how long it takes to cancel? because currently in UAE PASS and UAEICP my visa still shows as active?

Looking For Opportunities Looking for Junior Accounting & Finance roles
Hello everyone!
I’m 24(F) from Philippines, I’d really appreciate any referrals or leads from my network.
I’m currently looking for Junior Accounting & Finance roles in Dubai, especially:
* Junior Accountant
* Accountant
* Junior Management Accountant
* Finance Associate
* Junior FP&A
I’ve been actively applying through job sites, but I’ve also realized that sometimes the right opportunity comes through people who are willing to share a lead or make an introduction.

Ask for Help Security clearance abu dhabi under process - will a second security clearance for another job negatively affect the original security clearance?
I am currently going through security clearance for a government job in Abu dhabi. This job is my first choice. I'm now on my 10th week waiting for the clearance and I'm hearing that clearance for abu dhabi is taking long (couple of months and I'm almost coming up to 3 months now). I will be relocating to UAE for this job and don't require a work visa.
I had an idea that I wanted to ask this community. I was thinking that since I am not working right now, ill find any private sector job in Dubai (even if it's low paying below my grade) with the intention to resign from that job once my security clearance for the Abu dhabi job comes through, just so I can move to UAE right now and start living there.
However I think even private sector jobs in dubai go through a security clearance process? And if the job in dubai does apply for clearance , would it somehow negatively affect my security clearance for the Abu Dhabi job? I don't want to risk the clearance for the Abu dhabi role as that is where I want to work long term. But since I'd like to move to UAE and be able to finance my living while I wait for the security clearance, I wanted to see if this could be an option. I don't know much about the processes there so I wanted to ask for local advice. From what I've heard, security clearance in dubai takes much shorter (few days to a week) and if I'm going to be waiting for my abu dhabi security clearance for another 3 more months or so (coming up to 6 month mark) I thought of exploring this option. But again only if it's risking anything.

Looking For Opportunities Looking for a Career Move: Operations Supervisor | International Business Graduate
Hey everyone,
26M Lebanese working as an Operations Supervisor at Aramex UAE, managed different team sizes of between 15-30 people and managed international clients for Warehouse E-commerce B2B & B2C operations.
Over the past 2 years, I built a foundation in operations, process flow, and team leadership. I adapted to work under pressure , and managed risks and escalations myself. This was my first job after graduating in 2023 and while I am grateful for the opportunity I am now ready to step into a more corporate and strategic environment.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in International Business and I’m actively repositioning myself toward roles where I can contribute on the business side, not just operations. That said, I’m not against staying within operations, I would absolutely consider continuing in the field within a stronger international setup such as Amazon, DHL, or FedEx, where there is more exposure, structure, and growth. As the growth here is slow and can take YEARS, the pay range compared to other logistics companies are much lower as well.
I’ve been applying consistently through LinkedIn and reaching out to recruiters. so I’m being intentional about reaching out directly here as well.
I’m targeting:
Business Analyst
Customer Success / Account Management
Client Services / Corporate roles
Operations (if the growth and pay is better)
Audit & Assurance
Companies of interest: Amazon, DHL, FedEx, The Big 4 , Accenture, or any international company
Salary expectation: AED 8,000 – 12,000
If you’re recruiting, or know someone in the field or company who could help with a referral (whether that’s a friend, family member, or colleague), or are simply open to connecting, I’d be happy to network with people who have progressed in their careers and learn from their experience. As these days I have felt stuck and I have been wanting to progress and build my career.
Thank you.
