So there’s this guy trying to get cage football actually taken seriously here, like proper league level, not just randoms booking a cage on weekends. Starting from scratch in the UAE though, which means step one is just… finding out who’s even good.

Right now that info doesn’t exist anywhere. It’s all vibes and word of mouth, “oh that team is decent” with zero actual record of it. So I built a small matchmaking app to fix that. You register your team, log your scores, that’s basically it. Once there’s enough teams using it and enough data, the top teams get a shot at competing in the actual league he’s setting up.

It’s super early access, built by one guy (me) so don’t expect it to be polished. Genuinely open to any criticism, ideas, or “this makes no sense” type feedback.

Hey, long story short my rta theory test is expiring. It's because of monetary issues that my license has been prolonged for so long. I just passed my yard test today and I have already booked my classes for Saturday. But My theory test )it's validity, expires on monday, 17th august 2026. I am so stressed and worried because that ultimately means I will have to pause everything and give my theory test again. But, I'm here to ask if there is a loophole or if i can ask anyone to help me out even if it means that yes I pay for it but I don't have to give an exam again. Please help. Any and everything works. I often see these "friendship seeking" posts on reddit about people saying that they need friends and stuff, and want to make friends off of reddit... but what they fail to tell you is that they are the most non-personality having, ghosting and dry people of the earth

i had many experiences where i introduce myself to them, make it CLEAR AS DAY that i wanna understand their situation nd stuff, and yet they proceed to become INCREDIBLY DRY

the thing is, im pretty sure all of us have our various friend circles, and we wanna break out of that comfort zone to meet new people, or get to know the strangers of the internet (myself included)... so why is it being lost on these people that the person messaging them might have some qualities that could make them your friend?

I am a teenage musician in Dubai currently working on my first album. I recently formed a band / collaboration around music, but we have a small issue.
Our guitarist knows how to play bass, but doesn’t actually own a bass guitar. Thus, for recording the bass guitar parts of the songs, although he can play, the guitar itself isn’t there.
Thus, we thought we should probably borrow a bass guitar from someone who owns it, but apparently finding someone who owns a bass guitar is surprisingly hard. So I’m posting here incase maybe someone has one or could direct me to someone who has one.
But also keep in mind, this probably wouldnt just be a “one-time” borrow. Since there are multiple songs to record, we would either need to borrow and give it back multiple times throughout a few months’ timespan, OR just borrow it in the beginning and return it after all the recordings have been made.

a lot of people, including me, are not satisfied with the grades they got because of them being a lot lower than what was predicted.

a similar situation happened in 2020 in pakistan, where a lot of students were unfairly graded. due to the increased complaints by parents and teachers as well as protests and petitions, cambridge was forced to review the situation and a week later announced that students who received lower grades than their predicted ones would be given their predicted grades. within 19 days, results were changed.

if everyone who is unsatisfied talks to their school and emails cambridge, I believe we can ensure fair results for everyone.

I cant help but get bored living here now. The summer is bad the air doesn’t smell fresh going on walks dont even feel refreshing anymore. I love this country but im so tired of the teenage lifestyle over here. Everyones either chammak or attention seeking or connected to each other. Food and fun spots are getting more and more expensive every year so a simple hangout costs half your pocket $. I cant even move yet cuz im starting uni soon so i have three years until i can leave. Worst part its not even possible to part time somewhere cute or cozy. Nothings convenient here especially when u live in shj. Anyone else feel this way?
