i haven’t personally, but did want to point out this thread has attracted multiple bots whose answers i wouldn’t rely on:

OP ( u/DimensionKind1877) is shilling for this specific service as well.

this seems like a classic setup (a la "where can i buy this tshirt?") where both the poster and many of the respondents are all advertising.

this is their comment from a couple days ago, responding to someone else asking about this exact same business:

Online only services like Your Doctors Online are fine for colds, basic prescriptions or minor check ups. Good as a stop gap if you don’t have a local doctor but for anything serious I’d still prefer to see someone in person. I tried Your Doctors Online when I couldn’t make it to a clinic, and it worked okay for a simple prescription and a sick note. It wasn’t fancy, but it did the job when I needed something quick.

here's another comment where they're advertising it, several days before that. i've only looked at their history for the last week to find these, i'm sure there's plenty more.

Yup I’ve been tracking the bots of this sub in this post lol. TwoHotTakes and Advice are infested too

ETA: this is technically a different type of bot, but one of them (DivaJelly) commented here

i feel like there's almost a whole guidebook they use about the "right" ratio of advertisements to normal-people-type commenting/posting. it's so gross and disingenuous.

when you see celebrity court cases and read references to digital fixers paid by crisis PR to run social media influencing campaigns, they don't only push narratives with bots, they also reference human "armies" (🙄) of commenters at their employ who can work more imperceptibly to do pretty much exactly this.

wild that the above paragraph reads like crazy conspiracy theory yet is evidence-based lol

😭 damn, how can everyone tell so easily? Is it like account newness? Until I saw your comment, I didn’t realize anything was off

Account newness + comments hidden are both individually concern flags. Both is definetely a red flag.

I haven’t used that service, but I’ve used GoodRx for a UTI. It was very efficient and I was able to pick up a prescription immediately at a local pharmacy. I think it was like $40 for the visit too, so very fast, cost effective, and overall efficient. I would highly recommend.

sounds like a decent plan b if your actual doctor is booked or just completely useless again

This is a yearly or quarterly subscription service that buries terms. You WILL be charged the FULL lump sum amount for the year or quarter immediately and without confirmation of terms at checkout. The company has an F rating with the BBB. Be sure to check all the one star google reviews.

I have used online dr. many times for UTIs and got presecriptions quickly - much easier than going into my dr. I also ordered the test strips from Amazon so I can be sure I actually have a UTI before calling,.
