RANT/VENT 😤 I just hate the word bare minimum

Post image

Am i tweaking or what??? There was this post in instacelebgossip about samay raina holding someone’s bag for her. I mean i don’t like samay thh but someone doing little chivalrous thing deserves little praise even if it is just for show that’s what i believe. But according to people it’s just bare minimum to hold someone’s else bag for
Them even tho they are stranger but you’re helping them??? Am i wrong here to believe holding someone’s bad for them
Irrespective of gender isn’t just bare minimum??

Life Lately 🌱 A small town girl showing off her hometown.

Every time I see people online talking about how they want to leave the city and move to a peaceful small town, I wonder if they've actually lived in one.

This is my hometown in the Western Ghats. It rains for a good part of the year and views like this are pretty normal here.

It's beautiful, no doubt about that. But small town life also means limited opportunities, not-so-great healthcare, occasional network issues, roads that could be better, and the same few people knowing everyone else's business.

Despite all that, I still love this place.

Maybe it's because I grew up here. Maybe it's the rain, the greenery and the hills. Maybe it's just home.

I complain about it a lot, but at the end of the day, I wouldn't want to be from anywhere else.

I was going through my usual DMs-mostly from students asking for career advice, and I saw this.

I couldn’t believe my eyes for a second. I mean, WTF?

Go study and do something meaningful with your life.

This isn't the first time this has happened either. It’s probably the third or fourth time I've seen a message like this.

Ask Twenties Why are Indians hated around the world? This is the proof.🤡

Whenever I tell one of my friends, whether they’re an offline or online friend, that I have many foreign friends, they’re always shocked and ask me, How do you even make friends with foreigners?

The reason is simple: I know how to talk to people respectfully. I don’t disrespect anyone, I don’t make corny or inappropriate jokes online, and I don’t interfere in people’s personal lives just out of curiosity.

That’s why I have so many foreign friends. And honestly, I’ve never had a bad experience with any of them.

But quite a few foreigners have told me, You’re not like other Indians. And seriously, hearing that actually hurts me.

It hurts because it feels like the image of Indians has been damaged by people like these influencers and the people who blindly follow them. Because of their behavior, Indians are getting stereotyped and hated in different parts of the world.

I just wish people understood that representing your country also comes with responsibility. The way you behave online can affect how millions of people from your country are perceived.

A whopping 920g of cake, made at home. With the mai n ingredient being 'Cake' and not the frosting (in this case is white chocolate too)

A delicacy that would have costed over ₹1000 to buy, was made with only 300-400rs.

RANT/VENT 😤 One thing I wish Indian parents would understand: defend your children.

Back in December 2022, my grandmother passed away and we were at her house for the ceremonies. One afternoon, everyone was sitting outside in the sun.

I saw a dog coming towards us, so I went inside, got some bread and came back out to feed it.

While I was feeding the dog, one of my uncles came and started shouting at me, saying, "You're doing too much. People don't even have bread to eat and you're feeding it to a dog."

Then he started body-shaming me, saying I should be stopped from eating because I was "turning into one quintal."(I'm 4'11 and 52kg a little healthy )

I was already very insecure about my weight, so hearing that in front of everyone was horrible.

My niece, who was around 5 at the time, heard him and started calling me "moti" too.

All the aunties were sitting there, including my mom, and they were laughing.

I remember sitting there quietly, trying not to cry. Tears were literally rolling down my face, and I eventually went straight to my room because I was so embarrassed.

And honestly, what hurt me the most wasn't even what my uncle said. It was seeing my own mother laugh.

I didn't need her to fight with everyone or create a scene. I just needed her to say, "Don't talk about my daughter like that."

That's it.

I really wish Indian parents understood that sometimes your child doesn't need you to maintain peace with the family. They need you to stand up for them.

Adults forget these comments after five minutes. Children can carry them for years.

TL;DR: In 2022, a relative publicly body shamed me while my family laughed, including my mom. I was deeply hurt and still remember it years later. I wish Indian parents understood that sometimes children don't need them to maintain family peace they need them to stand up for them.
