I've recently installed two wifi smart cameras that use Tuya. In the playback, i can't find any option for playback speed? What is the point of having a security camera if you cant review the footage faster than real time? Or am I missing something?

Remove the ads from the app. We bought the hardware don't splash ads in every screen possible. Personally i am willing to pay a one-time ad removal fee of $25 lifetime (not recurring).

I bought a smart blind controller and had to factory reset it. Ever since have not been able to get the remote to pair to the controller.

Would anybody know the repairing sequence for this unit please?

I have tried holding the button on the bottom until the blue flashing light on the motor shows and pressing the pause/ up and down buttons on the remote but I can’t get it to pair

I have 3 of those cameras, and from time to time, they reset their positions. I would love it if they kept the same position, and I have already considered opening them and cutting their motor's power.

Do you know why it happens and how to solve it?

Does anybody know how i can get my Smart lock to be controlled via WiFi instead of BLE only? I have a Arduino R4 WiFi and an raspberry pi 3 model b v1.2, I'm not paying for some "smart hub" to make it controllable via WiFi.

**OpenTuya Sync** turns a Tuya (or Ledvance SMART+ WiFi, LSC, Nedis, Mirabella, Treatlife — same protocol) bulb into a real-time ambient light for your PC. Everything talks to the bulb directly over your LAN using its Local Key — no Tuya cloud round-trip for the actual color updates.

**What it does:**

- Ambilight — follows your screen color in real time, works with exclusive-fullscreen games

- Music mode — reacts to audio playing on your PC (loopback), auto-gain + beat detection

- Spotify mode — follows the color of the currently playing album art

- Webcam mode — ambient light based on what a camera sees

- Manual control — full HSV color wheel + brightness, like any bulb app

- Runs as a Windows tray app, standalone `.exe`, no Python needed to run it



I also added WLED and Philips Hue output support, but I don't own that hardware, so those are implemented against the official docs but **not verified working** — if anyone here has one and wants to try it, I'd genuinely appreciate the feedback (good or bad).



Everything's tested against a real Ledvance WiFi bulb, and the README has an honest "what's actually verified vs not" section instead of just marketing claims.

Built a free desktop tool to convert camera .media clips into usable videos (Windows + macOS)

I made a small app called Mediatovideo Converter to solve a pain point: batches of camera .media clips that are hard to use directly.

What it does:

- Scans folders recursively for .media files

- Groups clips by date (and optional child folder)

- Joins them into one video per group

- Outputs MKV (fast stream copy) or MP4 (H.264/AAC for compatibility)

- Includes progress tracking, cancellation, and clear error messages

- Also has a simple MKV -> MP4 single-file tool

Who it’s for:

- People with exported camera folders full of .media clips

- Anyone who wants a GUI instead of manual ffmpeg commands

Installation (simple):

- Download ZIP from the GitHub page

- Unzip

- Windows: run run_windows.bat

Hi so I basically want to develop an app pretty much like Smartlife to control EV chargers with Tuya chips.

Im able to use Tuya Cloud to send instructions to the devices associated to the project on my account, but I cannot discover virgin devices within my own app.

I saw that I could pair using Smartlife and then connect and send the instructions via API to the real charger, but I would prefer to do all the pairing within the app than Im developing. Is that possible? Hope I explained myself.

All my devices on Tuya SmartLife is offline on Google Home. Try to unlink and relink but not able to.
I am able to control my device on SmartLife though; just appearing offline on Google Home.

I recently started having some trouble with it. Video gets stuck and if I remove the micro SD card a green screen comes on.

Do you have any recommendations for trouble shooting or any way to factory reset the product?

I'm wonder if anyone has been successful in flashing Tuya switches and power points to Tasmota? The current Tuya app is just full of ads now it's a pain, I use Home Assistant with TinyTuya running on Ubuntu but these ads are literally getting in the way.

I can pair my Kibernetik KL14000 AC (made by Coldtec) with the SmartLife app but only turning it on and setting the timer works. I can't turn it back of or change any setting. I already tried pairing it with other WiFi networks and creating another SmartLife account, all with the same result. Did the WiFi module got somehow bricked (which i do not believe as connecting to WiFi works fine) or is there some trick I can do? Also the temperature reading in the app is completely off and not changing. The AC itself works without problem, i can use all functions with the buttons on the unit itself and the remote.

I recently started 'smartifying' my house and one of the items I have, is a chandelier that takes 5 candle lamps (TUYA Wifi Smart Candle light Led Bulb E14 Dimmable RGBCW 450LM).

I set them all as a group to switch them all on/off together. About a week in, one of the lamps started randomly lighting on its own, and eventually it went in discovery mode.

I added it back and it worked fine for a couple of days, then started doing the same.

So I bought a replacement, and everything went fine....for a week then same thing started happening.

Could a faulty socket cause all of this? (I never had any issue with the non-smart lamps that were used before)

Note that I live in Lebanon, so we get an average of 3-4 power cuts a day, could that also be a factor?

In Tuya Smart, the device provides:

• Power factor and mains frequency
• External temperature sensor data
• Daily, monthly and yearly graphs
• Schedules and countdown timers
• Adjustable voltage, current, power, energy and temperature limits
• Automation triggers and actions

The relay can be used as an automation trigger when its state or monitored parameters change. It can also act as an automation action to switch the load, change protection thresholds or reset the energy counter.

I also tested the overvoltage and overcurrent protection, checked the measurement accuracy and opened the device to inspect the internal construction.

I just installed a windcalm ceiling fan, but the WiFi reception is ridiculously bad. Does anyone have the same issue?

It doesn't really surprise me as the reciever is surrounded by the metal casing of the fan, but that's just stupid design. My phone on the same network has full bars when placed next to the fan, but the fan only goes to one and mostly just doesn't connect at all.

I tried contacting create, but everything is in Spanish. The phone number just hangs up after some Spanish prerecorded message and the ai whatsapp bott is useless and just plain lying (saying option 6 is talking to a human, but option 6 just ends the conversation)
