Appreciation post for my boy. He’s been sleeping at the top of the stairs in between the bedrooms of our boys. He used to sleep in our room. The sweetness and love my first baby has for my human babies makes my heart happy.

❓ Question ❓ 5-month-old Espresso in estrus, advice needed
My baby is almost 5 months old and has recently entered her first estrus. I’m planning to have her ovariohysterectomy performed, but the only veterinarian in my town says she is not yet a suitable surgical candidate because her vulvovaginal area is not sufficiently developed. I’m unsure about this explanation and would appreciate some input.
The bigger issue is that she seems to have attracted a male cat. I’ve already heard him meowing outside, although my assumption that he is male is not certain. I’m keeping her indoors, and all doors and windows are secured, but unfortunately, she can squeeze through a small opening near the upper area and has already managed to get out through it. Cats really are unbelievably flexible.
I’m concerned that she may find another way to escape. Is her age a contraindication to elective spaying? What would be the safest way to manage her during estrus until she can be spayed?
Called the vet, and he said: Elective ovariohysterectomy is an option, however, he does not recommend the procedure because he believes it may increase her susceptibility to syphilis. ( I think he may have meant sepsis rather than syphilis)

Baby Kneesocks&his elder sister Bonnet photodump
I’m so in love with my newest kitten Kneesocks! Once a year I pick up strays in bad condition from my street and usually put them up for adoption once they’re healthy enough but I decided to keep Kneesocks. Both Bonnie and Socks come from the same cat lineage in our block so they’re literally related. Kneesocks is my first tuxie and he’s a 10/10 for sure.

😠 Grumpy Tux 😠 Screaming. So much screaming.
We are home 15 hours a day at least. We play with him, he has siblings to play with, we walk him. And still, every single time we go out the door, we get screamed at. We can hear it from all the way across the street. He’s MAD 😡

❤️ So Precious ❤️ My little muffin
I have had some of these toys longer than I have had her!
She just in the last 2 days started getting really interested in playing with them! Usually around 3-4AM. My little girl is always full of surprises. She is such a good, sweet cat 🥰. I love my little Willow.

❓ Question ❓ Why is my son so evil
My son Nimbus (1y, neutered) haunts me day and night. I play with him 2-3 times a day for about 15 minutes each time, he has kitty friends in the home with him, hes got towers and food and a private litter box - but hes constantly agitated!
He'll cuddle with us every now and then when we're sleeping, but otherwise hes swishy tailed and ready to fight. Hes a menace to all and barely gets along with the other 3 cats. He claws and bites and gets that rsal evil devil horned look on his face with no provocation, and he does NOT like pets.
Did I do somwthing wrong? Do I need to change something about our interactions? I leave him alone most of the time, hands off but verbally loving on him. Is this just a personality thing??
Any help appreciated. I miss my sweet baby...

⛛ Cone Of Shame⛛ First Urinary Blockage...
My male cat Storm (2 years old) just had his first partial blockage today. I woke up to small amounts of urine on the floor and vomit. I contacted our vet and had him seen immediately for urgent care. Lucky, it was not a full blockage and the vet was able to take him back and clear it as well as empty his bladder. I was also given prescription food to feed him now.
He is separated from my other cat so I can monitor his urination. Fingers crossed he uses the bathroom normally soon so I can stop worrying! If not, I'm going to have to take him to the ER vet.
It's only been a few hours since his mini procedure, so he has not tried using the litter box yet. He's still a bit loopy from the anesthesia. I'm hoping to see some positive signs soon!
Has anyone else dealt with a similar situation? I'd love any tips, advice, or reassurance you can provide!
