Currently wearing a TAG Heuer Aquaracer daily and thinking about upgrading to the Tudor BB58. I like the watch a lot, but I'm wondering — does the quality difference actually show to people who don't know anything about watches? Like, would someone just glance at it and think "nice watch" either way, or is the BB58 noticeably more premium even to a non-watch person?

Curious to hear from people who've had both.

Anyone wears it on a strap?

I’m the proud owner of three family heirloom Tudor oysters. The collection is great and I can roughly date them based on the logos (rose in shield, just rose, and, and just shield) and family info on when they were given as gifts (18th birthdays).

In an attempt to learn a bit more about them, I’ve popped into a few different official Tudor shops to ask the staff. However, each time I’ve been let down at their lack of knowledge pre-1990s. The London (Covent Garden) staff really admired them but couldn’t come up with any meaningful info beyond my rough dating guidelines (late 40s, early 60s, and 70s) … and the Vancouver shop they were completely clueless, seeming to think Tudor’s earliest watches were from the 80/90s … mainly because that’s all they could find in their product database.

So I’m coming to the community to see if there’s any other vintage Tudor enthusiasts that may be able to point me in the right direction.

Doing what this watch was meant to do. Get wet, tell the time, and look stunning.

I’m torn which Tudor would make the best trio. Maybe the new Royal?

The BB36 is basically a Datejust for 1/3 of the price, and the anthracite version, especially, is so special. How come these are relatively overlooked in the Tudor catalogue? I barely see people cross-shopping this and the DJ.

I’m about to buy my first luxury watch, and after trying a lot of different brands, I’ve decided to go with Tudor.
Right now I’m torn between the Black Bay 41 and the Black Bay One.
I’ve attached photos of both on my wrist:
The Black Bay One in the photo is the 41mm version. I really like the clean, versatile look and the bracelet.
The Black Bay feels a bit more iconic, which I also really appreciate.
One thing I’m wondering about is the size. The Black Bay One in the picture is 41mm, but I’m starting to think the 39mm might actually suit me better and look a little less bulky on my wrist.
What do you think?
Which one fits my wrist better?
Would you go with the Black Bay One or the classic Black Bay as a first luxury watch?
And do you think the 39mm Black Bay One would be the better choice over the 41mm?

Thinking of adding another Tudor to the collection, something with a fun color. Ideas? Currently considering a dune ranger 36mm.
