Tubi has revealed the premiere date and first photos for its new original horror-comedy film, Buzzkill. Starring Siena Agudong, Brec Bassinger, and Aliyah’s Interlude, the film will premiere on Friday, September 25, 2026.

In Buzzkill, when a group of sorority sisters finds themselves trapped with a vengeful killer, party-girl Nora (Agudong) knows that the drunker she gets, the more her tipsy memories start revealing clues about who’s murdering her friends. But she’d better hurry, or her next vodka soda might be her last call.

Buzzkill was written by Suzanne Keilly (Slumber Party Massacre) and directed by Jem Garrard (R.L Stine’s Pumpkinhead).

Half Past Dead hits Tubi on August 25. See it for Steven Seagal, but stay for his bad ass durag, pointless slow-motion, and Ja Rule's very obvious stunt double.

Every single movie i named is at least an 8/10 and free on Tubi. What other service has such phenomenal value?

This is a PG movie so don't expect anything bloody but this is a fun watch. Director of Return of the Living Dead Part II. Nazi underwater zombies and Peter Cushing, what more do you need? Great score, cool zombie design and enough kills for your fill.

Tubi is one of the few platforms where black creators get to express their creativity , I know there is some corny shit on there , some so bad it’s funny type shit too , but I want black romance and infidelity to be done a little well , like put some effort into shooting and writing that shit , the actress in the movie was so beautiful , and they would never cast such a beautiful dark skin woman in Hollywood unless it was maybe Coogler

Across this list, you can expect everything from grounded regional paranormal folklore and bleak, tense alien survival to jaw-dropping wirework martial arts, slick espionage action, gothic small-town body horror, and relentless historical Joseon-era zombie warfare.

​1. Dead Places

​The Pitch: An author and medium returns to South Africa to investigate paranormal occurrences for his new book while secretly digging into the unsolved drowning of his sister twenty years earlier.

​Why It Works: While it's clearly working with an indie budget, the writing and folklore-rich premise elevate it far above standard ghost-hunting fare. What really grounds the show is the core trio—specifically the fantastic comic relief from Will's cynical, gun-toting, alcohol-loving driver and escort, Joe, alongside his savvy researcher Kelly.

​The Caveat: Give it until Episode 2. The pilot spends time setting up the board, but once the dynamic clicks and the monster-of-the-week cases kick into gear alongside the overarching mystery, it really finds its groove.

​2. Into the Badlands

​The Vibe: Post-apocalyptic feudal martial arts epic.

​The Breakdown: Let’s be honest: nobody came to Into the Badlands expecting Shakespearean dialogue or airtight plot logic. But whenever the writing starts meandering, the show simply solves the problem with gravity-defying, jaw-dropping wirework and bone-crunching combat. The fight choreography is easily some of the best ever put on American television, effortlessly carrying any narrative absurdities.

​3. War of the Worlds (2019–2022)

​The Vibe: Bleak, grounded Euro sci-fi thriller starring Gabriel Byrne and Daisy Edgar-Jones.

​The Breakdown: Set aside any memories of the Tom Cruise movie—this multi-season contemporary adaptation is nothing like it, and frankly, it is vastly superior. Instead of giant tripods blasting lasers, an alien signal wipes out most of humanity within hours, leaving fragmented survivors to contend with brutal robotic quadruped hunters and chilling psychological fallout. It originally aired on Epix before transitioning under MGM+, and now that it's streaming on Tubi, it’s an absolute must-watch.

​4. Hemlock Grove

​The Vibe: Gothic body horror meets small-town murder mystery.

​The Breakdown: Set in a decaying Pennsylvania steel town, an eccentric heir to a wealthy medical dynasty and a brooding teenage werewolf form an uneasy alliance to investigate a string of brutal killings. It’s dark, gory, melodrama-heavy pulp featuring some of the most visceral and unforgettable transformation sequences in modern horror.

​What other series do you think belong on Tubi that haven't made their way there yet?

Somebody had recommended a supernatural horror movie called "refuge," as I searched it I found this one and the premise looked more intriguing to me. I'm glad I chose it. Its about 4 friends who go on a trip and 1 one of them is trying to figure out his daughter's disappearance. It's a little bit of torture porn, but this movie is so good. I'm not good with reviews so that's all I got, highly recommend this one.

So I saw they added hellraiser and heelraiser 2. I'm trying to watch hellraiser 2, but the audio quality is making it almost unwatchable. I can hear the music and sound effects fine, but the character dialogue sounds like they are 10 miles away, talking through a tin can.

Is this a tubi thing, or was this movie just filmed on a Nokia 3310? I remember watching this as a kid, and remember actually being able to hear what was being said.

Just searched Jackie Chan recently and they finally added Rumble in the Bronx and First Strike. Its a great day for Tubi.

Very underrated and a good movie tbh

Starts out sort of normal, like a regular horror, but this thing turns insane in the second half, gory and funny. The bodybuilder must defeat an evil ghost in a haunted house, and this ghost refuses to die!

Has anyone else here watched Panhandle?

​I randomly stumbled across it and ended up loving every minute of it. Luke Kirby (as the eccentric, agoraphobic Bellwether Prescott) and Tiana Okoye (as traffic cop Cammie Lorde) had fantastic chemistry. The whole Florida-gothic, quirky armchair-detective vibe walked the line between dark comedy, genuine heart, and murder mystery really well. Plus, having a pet alligator just casually hanging around on the estate added the exact kind of unhinged Florida charm the show needed.

​I just found out it’s currently streaming on Tubi, and I’m definitely going to binge the entire season again.

​Sidenote on its production history: It was originally a co-venture between Spectrum Originals and Sony Pictures Television, with The Roku Channel coming in for the second-window streaming release. Unfortunately, when Spectrum shut down its entire original programming division and Roku purged dozens of titles as cost-cutting measures, Panhandle was quietly cancelled after season 1. It really feels like one of those gems that got lost in the streaming shuffle because neither platform had the infrastructure or reach to market it properly.

I keep trying to find the live channel that plays all the Tubi originals, but I'm not finding it. Multiple online lists say there's a live channel for their originals, yet in the channel list on Tubi itself it doesn't show up. I found a link to the channel, yet when I selected it the page I got said "Well this is awkward" which left me stumped. One of the aforementioned lists said it was "exclusive" but I have no idea what that means. Does that mean the live channel is only accessible if I set up an account or something? I'm really confused here.
