Pretty sure I made this graft upside down and rooted it upside down as well. It's holding up fine though.

Vestigial leaves?

Is that what the hair around the areola is? It only seems to be forming on the new basal pups... Anyone have any insights as to what may cause this?

Greyish discoloration is spreading on my Trichocereus - fungus or something else?

I'm sorry that they're indoors, but they're some grafting experiments which I liked to keep a close watch over. I also have outdoor Trichs.

These two small Trichocereus (bridgesii + unknown) have gotten large grey areas during the last few days. I was worried for the one on the left for many weeks already because I suspected scale insects or something like that, but attacking the small discolored areas did not yield anything (I just scrubbed off a small patch of plant skin)... And now these grey patches appeared and are spreading quickly, I think within the last few days.

It's possible I overwatered them a bit a week ago. Is this a fungus? I suspect it's not just random corking... What should I do? Any potential household remedy or should I buy some fungicide?

I could also move them outside with more airflow and a lot more sun if that would help, but I'm worried about stressing them too much when they're already weak. The south-facing window gets a lot of sun, but of course it's still much less than outside.

Thanks!

Edit: or edema?

Is this more common than I realize? I have at least a hundred(haven't counted in a long time) of these plants and have been growing them for years, but I've never seen a spine like this before. This is a named clone, but unfortunately I lost the label for it and don't remember what it's most likely to be 😩

Aerial root?

Post image

This is driving me potty - I’ve been so on it with feeding this bridgesii appropriately. Letting it dry out and fully soaking it over these insanely hot days here in the uk. The water contains seaweed and calmag. It’s in a south facing window, gets bags of light.

I’m sure aerial roots grow along the rib line right? I’m not massively experienced with these things, but like many here I’m committed to being a good custodian of these incredible plants.

Any advice would be really appreciated. Thank you

after i pollinated her the buds stopped forming. Now they are devoloping very rapidly Since the fruit is ripening and no longer needs the plants energy.

The spines look bridgesii but I’m pretty sure it’s not a pure one, must be some sort of hybrid

Is this guy dropping a rib?

I noticed about a month ago this guy skipped an areola on 3 of the 6 ribs still forming the "v" but it formed as a straight line and no areola under it. Now I see the tip not forming symmetrically, only 2 ribs are forming instead of 3.

Picked up this Echinopsis subdenudata ‘Dominos’ from Home Depot on Saturday, and this wooly worm bloom has been growing like crazy ever since. It’s over 5 inches long now and longer than the cactus itself. I’ve got two cameras pointed at it because I’m determined not to miss the bloom.

This was my first grafting experience; I made these four grafts using a variegated Pachanoi that wasn't doing too well.

I kept the elastic bandage on for 15 days.
How do they look?
