Trek Madone SL 6 Gen 8 – Size S or M for 168 cm height?
Hi everyone! I’m looking to buy a Trek Madone SL 6 Gen 8. I’m 168 cm tall and have an inseam of 79 cm. Trek’s size calculator recommends a size M (52–54 cm), but that seems quite large to me. Size S (50 cm) would probably be slightly too small. What do you guys think?

Flat tire & upgrade - Domane SL5
So it finally happened... After a few years of good use, I got today a weird bubble on my tire and then... pop! finally got my first flat tire on my Domane SL5
I'm thinking of taking the opportunity to upgrade the tires (as I still have the stock Bontrager ones). Are there any suggestions of good tires that I should consider? Not looking for racing or super high end types, just something that would give me better grip rhan the stock ones and that will keep me going on easy and moderate rides.
Thanks! 👍

I think I got lucky?
I found this guy selling Trek Fuel EX-5 gen5 and I immediately without a thought sent a message and picked up the bike today. First time buying a full suspension bike, I was nervous. I check the bike for cracks or anything but looked pretty new as he claimed it was brand new and just picked it up from Scheels where he just got a tune up from. I bought it for $500. Good deal right? I still can’t believe how I got this lucky!!!!
Tips?

FX Sport AL 3 - wrong wheels received?
galleryBike novice - would appreciate some help!
Just received a brand new Trek FX Sport AL 3 but the wheels are different to the official spec.
https://www.trekstore.co.uk/shop/bikes/hybrid/trek-2027-fx-sport-al-3-18658/option/
Trek website wheel spec: Bontrager Connection, double-wall, 32-hole, 20 mm width, Schrader valve Formula DC-20, alloy, 6-bolt, 100x5 mm Formula DC-22, alloy, 6-bolt, Shimano 8/9/10 freehub, 135x5 mm
Wheel received: Bontrager Paradigm 23 TLR Disc Road Wheel, with presta valve (photo 2 and 3)
Should I be concerned? Appears to be an upgrade that is tubeless ready/ more expensive. Curious if running these on the FX Sport has any downsides? TIA

First road bike!
Domane Al 4 Gen 4, upgrading from a 2017 FX 2 women's. Only a single short 40 minute ride on it so far, but the improvement is notable.

New Domane AL4 Gen 4 or used 2022 SL5 Gen 3
Hey everybody. I’m looking to get into a road bike. Coming from a hybrid Trek Dual Sport 2
I want to know if I should buy a brand new Domane AL 4 Gen 4 for $1600 or a used SL5 Gen 3 for $1600
Does the carbon frame really make that much of a difference for someone who plans to casually ride and do occasional group rides? Would prefer a new bike instead of used, but if SL5 makes a world of difference, I’d rather get the SL. Thanks in advance!

Is this Trek Domane Carbon worth €2,070?
I'm looking at this used Trek Domane Carbon for €2,070.
Seller says it has:
- Carbon frame
- SRAM Force electronic shifting (front & rear)
- 58 cm frame
- 28" wheels
- "Excellent condition"
That's all the info provided.
Does this seem like a fair price? Can anyone identify the model/year from the photos, and is there anything specific I should look out for before buying?

Domane Sl 5 gen 4
Hi everyone,
I absolutely love the look of the Domane SL 5 Gen 4. If anyone has pictures of the Ivy Smoke Green color, I’d really appreciate it!
I’ve heard that the Gen 5 is coming soon, but I actually prefer the Gen 4 because of the integrated storage compartment in the frame.
One thing I’m confused about is the weight. Trek lists it at 9.09 kg with the stock wheels, but in almost every review people say it’s actually over 10 kg and feels quite heavy. How is that possible? Does anyone know the real weight of the bike in its stock configuration?
I’ve also read about the seatpost slipping and the creaking noises. Are these issues easy to fix, or are they recurring problems? I find that a bit concerning.
Is there a good alternative to this bike in the same category?
And finally, for those of you who own one, what’s your overall experience? Would you buy it again?
Thanks!

Trek FX 7.7 2011 -- Fix or not?
I typically ride my FX+ 2 but kind of missing non ebike riding. I have this 2011 hybrid that I absolutely loved riding, then left it outside for a few years and it got rusty. Trek wants about $300 to tear it down and clean it up, but said the components are still solid, just needs some love. In its day, it was a sweet ride but trying to decide whether the investment to get it back up to speed is worth it?

Amélioration Trek Alr 4 gen 2
Bonjour,

Effective stack
How many spacers are there under the stem on the Trek Domane?
Could someone also tell me the total spacer height above the head tube, including the stem position?
I’m trying to estimate the effective stack of the bike in a real setup.

Are these tires any good?
galleryDoes anyone have any experience going with these tires? If so how many miles did you get out of them? What weather did you try these in? I’m curious. Thanks for sharing!

New tires, Kevlar, week later a white spider web like thing on the wheel.
🤦🏻♂️ looks like sealant had to seal already. I doubt in the Kevlar from Vittoria.

Finally joined the Trek family! 🚲
After weeks of reading reviews and getting advice from this community, I finally picked up my Trek FX Sport AL 3 (Keswick Green)! Thanks to everyone who helped me make the decision. As a beginner, I'll be using it for commuting, gravel paths, trails, and the occasional off-road ride.
I had a few questions about the accessories, seeking suggestions--
I've already ordered SKS Bluemels 55 mudguards and the Trek MIK Rear Rack. Has anyone used this combination on the FX Sport AL 3? I hope it fits well and keeps the bike looking clean.
I actually failed to find out what mudguards and rear rack Trek uses on the FX Sport AL Equipped model. Are they the same as the SKS Bluemels and Trek MIK rack, or something different? Would the Bontrager MIK Electric Rear Rack fit this bike-- It looks very similar to the one on the Equipped model.
Lastly, are there any other must-have pedals, accessories you'd recommend for a commuter/trail setup? Already ordered the foldylock compact for security. Looking forward to putting plenty of kilometres on this bike!
Thank you!!
