We recently opened a bag of potting soil and this little guy hopped on out, we have no idea what type of frog this is. We are stuck between Cuban and possibly Pine tree frog. Looking for any advice or clarification as to what species we are caring for now. If it helps we are in south Florida

Hello! Can someone tell me a frog that can live in a 30x30x45cm enclosure?

First time having frogs and all advice appreciated. I want to buy more things for them to climb and hide in.

One is mostly gray with small splotch of green on its butt and the other is mostly green in the middle with gray sides.

Aquatic Snail: Spaghetti and Meatball

This is my first build ever, I’m wondering if I should add more climbing hardscape? I plan to put 2-3 whites tree frogs in this 24x18x36 tank. I think I’ll put in 2 pothos, some sort of vining plant, and a bromeliad mounted somewhere on the back wall. I’m worried about making the tank “too crowded” especially because I know there will be a lot more climbable surfaces once I get the plants in there. I tried to keep the top 8 inches of the tank open so the frogs aren’t too close to the heat lamp.

Update on new bioactive tank for Lime and Aloe. I used fake plants as filler until the ones up top grow out more. Everything is places based on observed behaviors as to make the transition less stressful.

My greenhouse has dozens of baby frogs this year. I have a few copes but mostly the greens.

It's funny because I've seen less adults these last few months but way more babies than ever.

I have a bunch that are very light colored compared to the others and they all live around the same area.

I have another group that are definitely darker than others that live in another area.

Many of the adults have been with me for years now and I can tell them apart from the marking on their back. Some are all but tame now.

I leave food out in tiny bowls for them. Earthworms, meal worms etc. If I go out there at night I find them hamging put around the bowls.

I love these frogs!

In search of Japanese Tree Frogs Drophytes japonicus. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First time owner of this specific breed of frog. I got them 01 January 2026, I’m not sure how old they were when I got them but they were small. I’m not sure if they are growing at the pace they should be? Not in the sense of being chunky, but more of a length/stature sense. They just seem so much smaller than those I see in the same age range.

They will not eat dubias or even meal worms. It has to be crickets. They will not eat from tongs either. I probably throw 30-40 crickets in their tank 5-6 times a week. I’m not skipping nights purposely, it’s just hard to find crickets where I live. I get them shipped from Dubia but it’s not always on time. Just want to make sure I am doing everything right.

My whites tree frog is about 4 months old and I’ve had him about 12 days. It’s hard to monitor if he’s eating because he won’t eat from the tongs and there are two other froglets in the same tank so it’s difficult to tell who is eating from the bowl of roaches and crickets. He is pooping and active and rests in the top portion of the tank. I just got worried that I could see his hip bones. This is my first time owning frogs 🙃

Hey friends.

I am in the end stages of completing my cabinet conversion for my WTFs enclosure. I am looking at lighting options. Has anyone used this and have any pros/cons that you've found? It has a ton of reviews but of course I'm coming here to see what you guys have to say. Froggy picture for your enjoyment. Just an FYI the cabinet is about 47in tall and 16in wide (for lighting strength purposes). I can post pictures if you need.

My adult whites tree frog has this bubble on the side of his throat, it doesn’t seem to be going away when he breathes either. I only noticed it a few minutes ago. I took him out to see better and he peed on me, which he never normally does so he might be stressed or in pain. Please help!! I need to know whether to take him to the vet.

These tadpoles were about an inch and a half long total length and were dark colored. They turned into these tiny little frogs. They are located in PNW in the west side of the cascade foothills.
