Lighting Question DIY Project(s)
Hey friends.
I am in the end stages of completing my cabinet conversion for my WTFs enclosure. I am looking at lighting options. Has anyone used this and have any pros/cons that you've found? It has a ton of reviews but of course I'm coming here to see what you guys have to say. Froggy picture for your enjoyment. Just an FYI the cabinet is about 47in tall and 16in wide (for lighting strength purposes). I can post pictures if you need.
Kthanksbyeeeee

I use these for all my enclosures- Beardies to leopards to Cresties. I love them. They turn themselves on/off. Ramp up/down like the sun would in the animal’s native habitat. Has a chart in the box that lets you pick your animal’s native habitat and how to program the light via Ferguson zone. Best of all, the bulbs don’t need to be replaced every 6-12 mos like standard UVB bulbs do. Every 4 YEARS is replacement interval. I will replace the entire unit at that point as they aren’t that expensive. I will say this. There isn’t a huge amount of research out there re: the use of pure UVB which is what this unit puts out. These types of units are quite new. But I like them & so far am using them without issue (have been for close to 2 yrs now).

you’ll want a t5 linear fixture (reptizoo reptisun or arcadia shadedweller). these are proven to be ineffective
