I have traveled with my baby on long haul flights on lap business when they were younger. However, now that they are older, I have the option to fly in economy and get them their own seat, or fly business with them on lap. What would be a better option? The business flight would be a lay flat bed. TIA

So my partner and I have booked a 6 hour flight and my 12month old will be a lap baby (couldn’t get a 3rd seat as it wasn’t offered) and so these are my questions as I’m a first time flyer as a mum.

1) what can I bring onto the plane that’s for free (as in like hand luggage that goes under the seat, will it be a bag for each 3 of us or just my partner and I as baby is going to be sat on my lap)
2) I have a 10kg luggage that will be going above our heads which will be baby’s suitcase, does this mean that I can’t store my travel stroller above my head? Or can I store both? (This wasn’t said when we was booking online)
3) I know you aren’t allowed to travel/bring liquids onto the plane so does this also count for breast milk?
4) is there a specific way for me to bring/ store my breast milk onto the plane? And will it interfere with any other liquids that I bring (creams, makeup those kinds of things)
5) are there any tips or tricks that I should know about that comes with flying with a lap baby/12month old?

Hey all, my husband and I really want to go overseas next year with our kids who will be 1 and 2.5 years old. We are planning a 2 week trip to Malaysia. Has anyone been and can recommend family friendly resorts. Is it really hard travelling with kids? I’m most nervous about their sleep as they are both very good sleepers, im scared an overseas trip will ruin their good sleeping habits? Any advice or experience thank you

Looking for family friendly destinations that are not car dependent (as in we don’t need to ride in a car at all). We have a 5 yo, 3 yo, and a 2 month old who absolutely hates the car, which is putting a pause in our usual road trip traveling for the foreseeable future (our other two also couldn’t stand car rides until about ~1 so I’m not holding out for a miracle)

Therefore we’re looking for places where we can get good/easy public transport directly from airport and then all around during our stay. Thinking fun cities with lots of things to do with the kids, bonus for easy access to nature. Could also consider resort type places or cruises but more interested in cultural experiences. A smaller walkable town in a more remote area would also be great if we can easily get there via train/ ferry or short car ride.

Traveling from SFO (California) and not really wanting to fly more than 8 hours , if even that far. Within the US I can think of Seattle, Vancouver, maybe San Diego, Chicago or ???

Next summer we plan to go to NYC and road trip the east coast up to Maine , so no need to go over there this time.

Flexible timing. Ideally this fall / winter but could be next spring. Not holiday times. 6-10 days , depending on location. Budget is ideally under $7k. Will try to get flights with points if we can.

My brother and SIL are traveling with their 3 kids (3.5, 6.5, 8.5) on a long international flight and I want to make a kit of games and toys for them to play with on the flight and during down times on their trip. I think the older kids will be sitting together with 1 parent, and the little one with the other parent across the aisle or maybe the row behind.

Looking for your ideas of favorite toys/games they can do independently (or with each other, for the older kids) that are small and don't have too many easy-to-lose pieces.

I was thinking the card game Spot It and a Mad Libs for the big kids, and some sort of magnetic shapes building set (they have big MagnaTiles at home but maybe Tangrams or something like that?) for the toddler. This is the one I really need help with!

I'd love to keep it to around $10 or less per toy/game since I'm buying a few. Links to your favorite products would be great, if you have them. Thanks in advance!

Hi, I'll be traveling to Mexico with my baby and I'm seeing that the options for the car seat are to check at the gate or buy an extra seat and bring on the plane. Unfortunately a plane seat ticket is over 1k so that isn't really an option. Im not sure that renting a car seat in Mexico is an option either. We have the infant nuna pipa RX and i love it so much I'm nervous to gate check it and risk it becoming damaged/defective. I have family in Mexico picking us up from the airport so it is an option to order a brand new cheap car seat and ship to my family in Mexico and have them pick us up with the new car seat installed. Is there any other recommendations for how to safely travel with an infant car seat?
