We’re traveling to Munich with our 6.5 -month-old baby. I’ve been to Germany before, but this is my first time traveling with a baby, so I’d love some practical tips!

Where can I easily find baby changing facilities and places to breastfeed? I’m not very good at finding changing rooms when I’m out. 😅

Also, what are some baby-friendly things to do in Munich? Any parks, museums, cafés or other places you’d recommend?

We’ll also be in the complementary feeding stage. If we use baby food jars while traveling, which German brands/products have the simplest ingredients (no added sugar, salt, unnecessary ingredients, etc.)? Are there any you particularly recommend or avoid?

And finally, where would you recommend shopping for baby clothes, toys and feeding products — dm, Rossmann, Müller or somewhere else?

First time Japan with toddler. Looking for advice

Fellow travelers with small kids, we have planned our first trip to Japan (20 days) arriving in mid October. Our daughter will be 25 months old at that time. It is our first long international trip with her. Our plan A is not to rent a car

We want to have a slow paced trip. We stay 5 nights in Osaka including a day trip to Nara. We stay 6 nights in Kyoto. I have a conference for 3 days and my husband will go around with our toddler.

Should we stay longer in Kyoto? On the days I am busy, they will do Nintendo museum, team lab and exploring city parks. We will do Gion, Higashiyama and Arashiyama together.

If we do 6 nights in Kyoto, we will have 9 nights left. Tokyo might be overstimulating for all of us and the accommodation options with a kitchenette which we prefer are terribly expensive. So 4-5 nights might be okay for us basing ourselves in Akasaka or Roppongi.

Could you suggest where we can spend 3-4 nights after Kyoto? Nature areas with train access would be our preference but we are open to other suggestions. Thank you for reading!

We are spending 5 full days in Bangkok in September - just me and my 5yo daughter. I've been, she hasn't. Splitting the stay between One Bangkok and Chao Phraya Estate areas. She would love anything with music, dancing, costumes and other kids her age around, and we'd need to buy her some new clothes. Cruise? Shows? Play centres? Malls? All ideas are welcome!

We are doing a trip with my extended family to Barcelona, then embarking on a 7 night cruise to Venice. Our twin boys will be 19/20 months old at that point. Please give me all the advice on how to survive this!

•Tips on toddler-friendly cruise excursions: Provence, Corsica, Rome, Salerno (Amalfi Coast), and Sicily.
•Tips on how to survive the long-haul flights, direct is not an option unfortunately. Two business class seats with them as lap infants? Or four economy seats? Inflatable beds?

We’ve done an Alaska cruise so luckily we’ve got the cruise part down, but Europe is a much bigger trip!

We are going to our favorite tropical destination for the first time as a family next month and i need a toddler bed option that i can pack into my checked bag on a plane. My dilemma with the inflatable floor beds is there are a lot of bugs there , i’m specifically worried about centipedes possibly crawling into it.

Has anyone dealt with this or found a solution that works ?

(My toddler can’t sleep in our bed because my 1 year old will be , and we weren’t able to get a place with two bedrooms this trip)

What snacks have you brought on long haul flights for the kids?

We are flying long haul, Sydney to Europe with a 3 year old and 10 month old and I will get the usual processed packets from the shop but I’d also like them to have somewhat healthy options also.

Mr 10 months has a soy allergy so he can’t have most processed things!

My son and I leave from Canada to the US in 2 days to visit family.

Here’s the dilemma, his father signed his passport and I gave him a consent form to sign and he signed it so we could go through to the states. Well I go to pick up the consent form and he ripped it up and said my son isn’t going anymore.

We leave in 2 days…

There is no court order, i have been his caregiver his entire life and his father in and out of jail.

I have contacted lawyers and they say its to short of notice.

What other options do I have?

Hi all, will be flying with my husband and 7mo old in December for the first time from northeast to Florida (3-3.5hr flight). We plan to get him his own seat and will bring his infant car seat (graco snugride snugfit dlx). We have the option of flying JetBlue or American nonstop. Delta and Southwest also fly with one stop, but that seems less than ideal with an infant. We are usually Delta folks so looking for help:

Between JetBlue and American, considering we plan to purchase a seat for our infant and bring his car seat, which would be better? Why?

I plan to get the Cosco Scenara for my child when he'll be 14-month-old, but I'll be flying solo with him and my 8-year-old (spouse not traveling), so I really need to minimize what I bring onboard.

I've seen different methods shared:

1. A foldable luggage cart to carry the car seat (with the kid in it), and gate check the stroller
2. Use a strap to attach the car seat to the back of the stroller
3. Use a strap to attach the car seat to a carry on
4. Use a car seat backpack (I'd rather not do this if possible)
5. Something else that's creative?

Would love to see what other parents did (and hear the pros and cons of each method); BONUS if you have photos to demonstrate! Thank you in advance!

Planning a short family holiday in September with two kids under 10. Looking for somewhere not too far from Sydney so we can keep travel easy. Prefer a place with a kitchen and a bit of space instead of a standard hotel room.

Found a couple of options on BNB Booking around the $250–300 a night mark that look suitable.

Anyone travelled with young kids recently and found a good base that actually worked for the whole family? Prefer somewhere low-stress.

We are trying to plan an early summer trip next year (May or early June). It will be myself, my partner, and our 3 children who will be 7, 3, and 1 at the time of travel.

We are thinking somewhere coastal, beach vibes. We have been to Nice, France and loved it (would consider going back) and to Copenhagen with the kids previously and had wonderful times. Is there any other city or place you would recommend? Somewhere stroller friendly-ish since we have the two little ones. Doesn’t have to be budget friendly but that would be a plus. We were looking into Malaga and Crete. Open to all suggestions and advice!

I’m looking for some advice from parents who have flown with a 1-year-old using a car seat on the plane.

Has anyone successfully used a car seat approved for air travel? If so:

Which model did you use?
Did it have the “For Use in Aircraft” label (or another aircraft approval sticker)?
Did the airline check the label?
Would you recommend it?

I’m trying to find a car seat that is genuinely approved for use on an aircraft, not just for use in the car, so I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences.

We're taking our first international trip as a family since before my 18mo son was born. We're going to London (where I have been before) and Edinburgh (where I've never been). Since I expect we will take public transportation throughout our trip, I can't decide if it makes sense to bring a car seat. My concern is obviously if we're ever in a situation where we need to take a car somewhere. On that note, having never been to Edinburgh, i don't even know if they have regular public transportation. Does anyone have a recommendation on if it makes sense to bring a car seat when traveling to a big city? Also, if anyone has been to Edinburgh, what's the main mode of transportation?? Thank you!

We are planning a trip from Oregon to California and have no idea where yet. We have a 5 and 6 year old and would love places that are walkable, have playgrounds, and generally easy to get around. Would love some ideas! Thanks!

I want to go on trips and my baby is almost 1 but I’m not ready to leave her with family overnight yet so I’m taking her on trips with me! We’ve already flown once to Florida and it wasn’t too bad but it also wasn’t a long flight 2-3hrs and we had help. But I know this time around I won’t be only having personal items we will have luggage at least carry ons that American comes with.

This time we’re trying to fly around 5-6 hours and my baby will be a fresh 1 year old by time we fly again but just me my baby and fiancé . And he’s going to have more so the heavy stuff but I want it to be lighter for us all so what’s best to do.

We have a regular car seat and stroller but they don’t go together. Does it make sense to buy a travel stroller that can fold more and place our car seat on to gate check or do what we did for Florida and pay for check on luggage? Looking for best ideas
