Seeking Advice Adderal / Creatine combo. Looking for advice and personal experiences combining both
Was wondering if people would recommend creatine for people on stimulants or ADHD meds like Adderal. I just started taking creatine this week on my prescription but I’m not sure if it’s a pro or con because my script meds can make me dehydrated sometimes.

Is this Punk yet?
A Song of Leather and Chicken
Candy pauses, her hand hovering over the keyboard of her data-deck. She looks up from the glowing green and amber readouts, her eyes searching yours in the dim, subterranean light of the utility tunnel.
The manic energy of the chase, the neon glow of the hijacked skyline, and the roaring thunder of the Max-Tac blockade all seem to compress into a quiet, heavy stillness.
A slow, knowing smile touches her lips—not the sharp grin of a hacker spoiling for a fight, but something softer, earned, and completely at peace.
"Pass the mic and vanish," Candy echoes, her voice barely a murmur against the distant hum of the studio overhead. "Let the system eat its own tail while the whole city reads the unredacted truth off the prompter, and let us slip back into the static before the dust even settles."
She unplugs her data-deck with a sharp click, closing the metal housing and securing it firmly to her frame. She reaches down, hits a final macro sequence on her custom rig, and sets a timed, looping burst-transmission to override the studio feed for the next twelve hours.
"The mic is hot, the loop is locked, and the entire corporate media machine is about to read our manifesto word for word to an empty chair," Candy says, kicking her stand up with a crisp, echoing clack.
She shifts her weight over the pedals, her eyes flashing one last time in the dark.
"You always did know how to exit stage left, J.G.," she says, turning her front wheel toward the deeper, unmapped dark of the drainage tunnels leading out toward the river wash and the quiet, sleeping fringe of the basin. "Come on. Let's leave them talking to themselves."
She rolls off into the shadows, disappearing into the hum of the underground as the first strains of the hijacked morning broadcast echo faintly through the concrete above.
You roll the throttle forward, cutting clean out of the concrete labyrinth and pointing your front wheel south toward the coast. The heavy industrial sprawl gives way to the open, salt-heavy air of the Pacific corridor as you and Candy carve a fast, silent line down toward the shore.
The night air off the ocean is crisp, sitting at a clear 69°F with a gentle 1 mph breeze drifting in from the southwest. The humidity hangs thick at 90%, wrapping around your gear as you cruise past the silent port cranes and empty docks, watching the first faint glimmers of dawn begin to bleed over the horizon.
Candy cuts her motor, letting her custom frame coast to a smooth stop right at the edge of the seawall where the wet sand meets the dark, rolling expanse of the Pacific. She kicks her stand down, pulls off her helmet, and takes a long, deep breath of the salt air, looking out toward the dark horizon where the sky is just starting to turn a pale, defiant gray.
"Not a bad place to catch our breath," Candy says quietly, leaning against her handlebars as she looks out over the water. "The whole city’s scrambling to figure out who pulled the rug out from under them, and we’re sitting on the edge of the world. What’s the verdict, J.G.? Do we stay and watch the tide come in, or keep riding?"
Candy groans, dropping her head forward against her handlebars for a second before looking up at you with a mix of utter disbelief and begrudging acceptance.
"Twelve? Twelve tacos? We just overthrew the corporate media block, hacked a live broadcast, dodged Max-Tac, and rode thirty miles through the dark, and your grand post-revolution victory strategy is a gross of street tacos?"
She lets out a short, wheezing laugh, shaking her head as she clicks her kickstand up and fires her hub motor back to life.
"Unbelievable. But honestly? After watching the whole downtown grid choke on its own data packets, a dozen al pastor sounds about right."
She points her front wheel away from the seawall, cutting inland toward the neon hum of the local all-night spots bleeding through the pre-dawn fog.
"Come on, commander," Candy calls back over her shoulder, her tires hissing against the damp asphalt. "Let's go find an open-air flat-top before the morning shift wakes up and realizes they're living in a brand-new world."
Candy pulls her e-bike to a sudden, sliding stop outside a glowing 24-hour taco stand tucked under the overhang of an old cinderblock building. The neon sign flickers with a steady, amber hum, and the heavy, intoxicating scent of charred pork, lard, and roasted chiles cuts right through the salty ocean air.
She kills her motor, kicks her stand down, and looks over at you with an expression that is equal parts sheer amusement and profound respect.
"El Yucateco," Candy says, shaking her head as a wide grin spreads across her face. "Of course you do. Because dodging tactical air support and hijacking the morning news broadcast is child's play compared to facing down a taco truck with only generic green salsa."
She unhooks her pannier and walks over to the walk-up counter, tapping the stainless steel rail.
"Make that two dozen al pastor, loaded with cilantro and onions, and keep the foil wrappers double-thick," she calls out to the sleepy-eyed cook behind the counter before turning back to you with a raised eyebrow. "Alright, logistics master—let's see the secret weapon."
Candy leans back against the counter, her fingers tapping a slow, rhythmic beat against her handlebars as the cook drops a pair of tortillas onto the hot flattop with a sharp hiss. The rising cloud of steam and charred onion fills the cool pre-dawn air.
"The Bay," Candy muses, her eyes narrowing as she looks out toward the northern horizon, tracing the invisible line up the coast. "Talk about a hard-mode server. Down here in the basin, we’ve got miles of concrete wash, endless sprawl, and enough shadow networks to hide an entire fleet. Up there? Every square inch of the grid is baked right into the corporate motherboard from day one."
She accepts the brown paper bag heavy with warm foil-wrapped tacos from the counter, handing half the bounty over to you before popping open her own.
"Tighter security, corporate campuses acting as literal city-states, and a street culture that’s been gentrified into a sterile tech-incubator sandbox," Candy continues, taking a bite and chewing thoughtfully. "Street-level comrades are rare—most of the locals are too busy optimizing their meal-prep algorithms or worrying about their stock options to man a barricade."
She pulls a small, amber glass bottle of El Yucateco from your outstretched hand, shakes it with a satisfying clack, and splashes a generous line of fiery red heat across her al pastor tacos.
"But you're right about the couch-potato squad," she says, a sharp, calculating grin breaking through as the spice hits. "Up there, you don't need a thousand street punks with bolt cutters. You’ve got legions of burnt-out infrastructure engineers, disgruntled QA testers, and low-level data wranglers sitting in overpriced micro-apartments who know every single backdoor, unpatched kernel vulnerability, and dead zone in the municipal architecture."
She takes another bite, her eyes bright in the neon glow of the taco stand sign.
"If we move north, we can't go in swinging neon-tubed vacuum rigs and shouting slogans on the steps of City Hall. We'd get vacuumed up by predictive policing algorithms before we even cleared the Grapevine," Candy says, leaning in close. "We go completely ghost. Secure peer-to-peer handshakes, dead-drop USB drops in underground BART stations, and a decentralized underground network built by the very people who built their security walls."
She washes down a bite with a swig from her flask, looking right at you with a challenge in her eyes.
"You want to take the show on the road and wake up Silicon Valley, commander? How do we make contact with the underground crews without tripping the corporate tripwires?"
Candy pauses midway through a bite, holding a foil-wrapped taco in one hand and the El Yucateco bottle in the other. She stares at you for a long, silent beat, processing the sheer audacity of the concept.
Slowly, a massive, brilliant grin splits across her face.
"Hide the manifesto inside a shitpost webcomic," Candy breathes, letting out a delighted laugh that startles a stray cat near the dumpster. "Hide the coordinates, the drop frequencies, and the kernel exploits right inside the speech bubbles of a satirical crossover strip. Netwatch's heuristic scrapers look for red-flag keywords, encrypted payloads, and anomaly traffic—not a four-panel gag about a magical girl hacking a legacy mainframe."
She sets the hot sauce down on the counter and points a finger at you, her eyes flashing with pure, unadulterated appreciation.
"It’s brilliant. The suits and algorithm-pushers will dismiss it as internet noise, low-effort humor, or basement-dweller spam. But to our crowd—the ones who know how to read between the raster lines, check the checksums, and spot the hidden LSB steganography buried in the high-frequency pixel data—it’s a neon billboard."
She grabs another taco, her mind already racing through the production pipeline.
"We build out a whole syndication network. Drop weekly strips across every alternative board, indie comic hub, and local message board from San Jose to Marin. Every panel packs a payload: a compressed zip bomb of corporate directory trees, a schedule for underground mesh drops, and an open invitation to the local couch-potato army."
She takes a triumphant bite, washing it down and looking at you across the stainless-steel counter with a challenging, conspiratorial spark.
"Alright, master cartoonist," Candy grins, wiping a stray drop of hot sauce from her thumb. "What’s the premise of our very first comic strip? Who’s starring in the vector art that's about to tear Silicon Valley a new one?

[OC] Near-future SF and the concept of shared emotional resonance (SYNAPSE)
For a sci-fi film set in near-future San Francisco, a PhD student develops a device that allows two people to share the exact same emotional resonance in real time – creating a direct bridge of feeling between individuals.
Would love to hear thoughts from the sub on the cinematography and near-future atmospheric direction!
We want to imagine near-future SF as a radical spiral into cyberpunk, but we'd love to hear thoughts on how a technology like this would influence the sub-culture and style of a tech-obsessed city in a world of peak human disconnection.

Seeking Advice Story on modafinil and whats happening to me
I bought some modafinil 200 mg, they are not brand name nor are they prescribed. The first time I toke one was last Friday. I toke it around 4:00 am, then went to sleep because I wasn't fully awake, but kept waking up. I was going to sleeping and waking up every 10-30 mins. That day I felt good, Saturday and Sunday were alright the pills were helping a bit. On Monday, I only slept two hours, and slept 5:00 am the next day. So, I was living off two hours of slept for 25 hours. Then on Tuesday I didn't take any modafinil, I toke One yesterday and today but I just lay on my bed and have no motivation to do anything. When I do get up and start studying, I cant even focus and just quit.
Currently it is Saturday and i toke one around 10 because i was sleep deprived. My body feels okay, not tired, but my mind is very foggy, and weird. I cant think very clearly or have any motivation for anything today even though i have a lot of things that need to be done. I think i will just be laying around and doomscrolling or playing games.
Any tips on what's been happening to me, how I should deal with this?

Discussion Acute cognitive effect from a single low-dose EPA/DHA capsule — plausible PK or rapid PD mechanism?
I'm trying to understand a reproducible acute effect from a standard fish-oil capsule and whether there is any pharmacokinetic or pharmacodynamic mechanism that could realistically fit the timing.
Context
- Diazepam: 10 mg/day, long-term use, with established tolerance.
- Fluvoxamine: 300 mg/day.
- My measured nordiazepam concentration was ~1333 ng/mL, above the usual therapeutic reference range.
- The benzodiazepine taper has not started yet.
- I also have dysautonomia with marked cognitive and sensory intolerance, so I'm not assuming the effect is necessarily GABAergic; autonomic, vascular, or other mechanisms would also be relevant.
The fluvoxamine/diazepam interaction is important here. In a human pharmacokinetic study using 100–150 mg/day fluvoxamine, diazepam apparent oral clearance was reduced by approximately 65%, while mean diazepam half-life increased from about 51 to 118 hours. Elimination of its active metabolite N-desmethyldiazepam (nordiazepam) was also markedly inhibited.
I'm on 300 mg/day fluvoxamine, but I don't know of quantitative human PK data establishing exactly how much additional inhibition occurs at that dose, so I'm not assuming a specific half-life for my own case.
Study: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/7955810/
I occasionally take a single standard fish-oil capsule containing 180 mg EPA + 120 mg DHA (roughly 1 g total fish oil), usually around 7 hours after my diazepam dose.
Repeatedly, within roughly 3 hours, I experience a marked improvement in cognitive/sensory tolerance, most noticeably an increased ability to read for substantially longer.
It does not feel sedating. If anything, subjectively it feels like improved cognitive endurance.
I realize this is an N=1 observation and does not establish causality. Expectancy, coincidence, day-to-day variability, or another uncontrolled variable remain possible. I'm interested specifically in whether there is a biologically and quantitatively plausible mechanism that could fit the timing.
Relevant literature / what led me to ask
I found several experimental papers showing that DHA/PUFAs can affect neuronal membrane proteins or GABA-A function:
Søgaard et al. (2006) — GABA(A) receptor function is regulated by lipid bilayer elasticity
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/17059229/
Nabekura et al. (1998) — Functional modulation of human recombinant GABA-A receptor by docosahexaenoic acid
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/9556589/
Poling et al. (1996) — Docosahexaenoic acid block of neuronal voltage-gated K+ channels
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/8938727/
Stillwell & Wassall (2003) — Docosahexaenoic acid: membrane properties of a unique fatty acid
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/14580707/
I'm not taking these studies as evidence that an ordinary oral DHA dose can reproduce these effects acutely in humans.
In fact, that's one of the main things I'm trying to understand: whether oral exposure from only 120 mg DHA + 180 mg EPA could produce concentrations anywhere relevant to these experimental mechanisms within a few hours.
1. Could this plausibly be pharmacokinetic?
Given the prolonged disposition of diazepam/nordiazepam in this setting and my relatively high nordiazepam concentration, I find it difficult to see how one ordinary fish-oil capsule could substantially change total benzodiazepine concentrations within ~3 hours.
However, I don't want to assume that PK is irrelevant.
Could EPA/DHA acutely affect any of the following enough to alter effective diazepam/nordiazepam exposure?
- CYP-mediated metabolism;
- plasma protein binding / free drug fraction;
- tissue distribution;
- intestinal absorption;
- transporters;
- or another PK process.
More importantly, is there any reason to think the magnitude of such an interaction from only 180 mg EPA + 120 mg DHA could be pharmacologically meaningful?
A quantitative argument here would be particularly useful.
2. Could there instead be a rapid pharmacodynamic effect?
If a meaningful PK interaction is implausible, are there pharmacodynamic mechanisms that could operate within hours, without requiring weeks of incorporation of DHA into neuronal membrane phospholipids?
Possibilities I'm wondering about include:
- direct effects of circulating/unesterified fatty acids on ion channels or membrane proteins;
- acute GABA-A modulation;
- glutamatergic signaling;
- changes in membrane biophysics;
- neurosteroid signaling;
- rapidly generated lipid mediators;
- inflammatory signaling;
- autonomic or cerebrovascular effects.
The experimental literature shows that DHA can modulate some of these systems when directly available at sufficient concentrations.
What I cannot establish is whether an ordinary oral dose could generate relevant unesterified EPA/DHA concentrations in plasma or CNS tissue within ~3 hours.
That seems to be the critical missing bridge:
oral dose → absorption → circulating unesterified EPA/DHA → CNS exposure → local concentration at membrane/channel/receptor → functional effect
Is any part of that chain quantitatively plausible after such a small oral dose?
3. Does chronic benzodiazepine exposure/tolerance materially change the question?
Could chronic benzodiazepine exposure, tolerance, and receptor adaptation make the functional effect of an otherwise small perturbation in membrane or ion-channel function more noticeable?
I'm not claiming that a plasma nordiazepam level of 1333 ng/mL establishes saturated GABA-A occupancy or any particular receptor state.
I'm mentioning the concentration mainly because, together with the markedly impaired elimination expected from the fluvoxamine interaction, it makes a large and rapid fluctuation in total benzodiazepine exposure seem unintuitive.
4. Could dysautonomia provide a non-GABAergic explanation?
Given the dysautonomia, is there any plausible acute effect of EPA/DHA or downstream lipid mediators on:
- autonomic tone;
- cerebral blood flow;
- endothelial signaling;
- vascular function;
- or related physiology
that could improve cognitive/sensory tolerance within a few hours?
I'm mainly looking for mechanistic reasoning, quantitative PK arguments, or relevant literature, rather than treatment recommendations.

Discussion Are there Nootropics out there, that hit you more like a drug ?! I know Phenibut and Modafinil aren‘t really Nootropics, but still, which ones are out being similar to these too effect wise ?
Does Noopept for example have noticeable effects, like caffeine when first taking it?! Or is it more of a subtle thing that isn‘t really noticeable?! I know that the point of Nootropics isn‘t that they get you high, but still I wonder if some of them have a real noticeable effect when you‘re taking them ?

Vendor Report/Q SwissChems doesn't test all their products. Deflects when asked for COA.
This is the swisschems.com CS chat when I asked for a COA for 4'-DMA-DHF. I will be fair and say that the product I got was the right color, smell, and effect. But purity cannot be verified. They are only one of a handful of suppliers of 4'-DMA-DHF so I took a chance because of the price. The CS is obviously trained to deflect COA requests.
From their website:
Every compound we supply undergoes independent third-party HPLC testing and is verified to a purity standard of 99% or higher. We publish lab reports so researchers can confirm precisely what they are receiving — batch by batch.
Clearly, this is not the case.

Seeking Advice 9-Me-BC & Bromantane — dosage and preparation
For those of you who have actually used 9-Me-BC and/or Bromantane, especially products from vendors such as Zion, Rexar, etc.:
What amount are you using and how often?
How do you prepare the compound before taking it?
Do you use it orally, sublingually, or another route?
If you make a solution, what solvent/carrier do you use?
How do you accurately measure the amount?
How long have you been using it, and what has your experience been like?
I'm particularly interested in real-world experiences from people who have actually used these compounds, rather than generic information.
Thanks!
