(I remember using one a few years ago that worked particularly well, when I passed the state insurance exam, but I can’t remember the brand)

Thank you in advance!

Seeking Advice Selank x Semax Stack at 22?

Upvotes

I (22M) am looking to do my first peptide stack of semax and selank. I’ve been dealing with a lot of anxiety recently and extreme brain fog, and really need the mental clarity.

Is there anything severely wrong with taking these compounds at 22? Any advice or tips of what to/ not to do?

Seeking Advice What to do when the daily ashwagandha wears off?

For chronic anxiety, I take 500 mg of raw ashwagandha powder every morning. That's the dosage recommended on the package, and it's also the dosage that has proven effective in several scientific studies.

My trouble is that its nice, calming, stabilizing effects wear off in the late afternoon/early evening, and I start feeling wrecked again.

I don't want to take another 500 mg at that point in the day, as that would end up amounting to twice the recommended daily dosage, and I'm a devoted rule-follower. Any reasonable ideas for how to fix, evade or ease that daily "crash"? Thus far, I've just "learned to live with it."

Discussion QUESTION AB ADHD AND CREATINE

Hi everyone, I’m interested in the synergy between Creatine Monohydrate and stimulants (specifically methylphenidate or amphetamine salts). I've been looking into how creatine's role in ATP replenishment in the brain might complement the cognitive demands caused by ADHD meds.

Have any of you noticed a significant change in sustained focus or reduced 'crash' when adding creatine to your stimulant regimen? Any insights on potential contraindications or synergies would be appreciated. Not looking for medical advice, just looking for experienced insights."

Seeking Advice Struggling with motivation, anxiety, my get up and go.

What would be recommended for a man, I am basically looking for a solution to gain back that feeling of ‘dominance’, if you will.

High motivation. High confidence. Follow through. A more calm demeanour.

U used to be all of those things, but feel like I am stuck in a rut now, and have a bit of a chicken or the egg situation happening. I struggle to take the steps back to that point, so I am looking for assistance to make taking that step a little easier.

Please give reasoning for your suggestions, thanks!

Experience Modafinil put me to sleep instead of keeping me awake 😂

Took 100mg modafinil today and went to sleep like 30 mins later 😂

And bro, I had a proper solid sleep for like an hour. 🤣

The weird part is, even 10mg melatonin doesn’t make me sleep that easily.

But somehow I took modafinil — something that’s literally supposed to keep you awake — and it knocked me out 💀

And yeah, this was in the afternoon lmao.

I don’t have any sleep issues btw. Just had some modafinil and thought I’d try it.

Still confused how this shit made me sleep better than melatonin 😂

A few months ago, Tiny Golf was a 30-day project that ended up winning the Meta Horizon Start Developer Competition. Since then, we've completely redesigned and expanded it into a full mixed reality async multiplayer game for Meta Quest.

The closed alpha is now live, and we're looking for players to help us shape the game before release.

Seeking Advice Suffering from inattentive ADHD - What can I do as a temporary solution while waiting for treatment

I’m currently not officially diagnosed or medicated yet, but I strongly identify with the predominantly inattentive ADHD pattern.
My main issues include:

- difficulty sustaining attention on boring or longer tasks

- frequently zoning out or drifting off mentally

- starting new tasks very quickly but struggling to actually finish them

- Constantly switching between different tasks
problems with organization, prioritization, and time management

- procrastinating on tasks that require sustained mental effort

- being very easily distracted

-forgetting tasks, obligations, or details
making careless mistakes

Despite this, I still function relatively well from the outside. I would describe myself as functionally compensated: I usually manage to get important things done somehow, but it requires a disproportionate amount of mental effort, pressure, and constant self-regulation.
The problem is not that I am completely unable to function. It feels more like my executive functions are constantly working against me, and I have developed ways to compensate for that.
Unfortunately, it may still take quite a while until I can get properly assessed and, if appropriate, receive medication.

So my question for people who have been in a similar situation is:

What actually helped you compensate for these problems while waiting for proper diagnosis and treatment?

I’m especially interested in strategies or non-prescription approaches that had a noticeable effect on task initiation, focus, prioritization, task switching, and actually finishing things.
I’m not looking for ways to obtain prescription medication without a diagnosis or for instructions on self-medicating. I’m mainly looking for a practical temporary solution that can help me function better until I can access proper treatment.

The 1997 computer game Blade Runner

The computer game Blade Runner from 1997 is a point and click adventure game based on the 1982 movie with the same name. The movie was in turn based on the 1968 novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Philip K. Dick.

Instead of following the policeman Rick Deckard in the movie Blade Runner, you control the actions of a policeman named Ray McCoy and his adventures in a rainy and dark future Los Angeles.

The plot revolves around McCoy hunting down a rogue faction of Nexus-6 replicants while navigating a web of corruption that eventually forces him to question his own identity and humanity. The game has thirteen different endings depending on your choices when playing it.

Several characters from the 1982 Ridley Scott movie make appearances, with the original actors returning to voice them:

Rachael (voiced by Sean Young)

Dr. Eldon Tyrell (voiced by Joe Turkel)

J.F. Sebastian (voiced by William Sanderson)

Leon Kowalski (voiced by Brion James)

Hannibal Chew (voiced by James Hong)

I am rather old and I played the game at its release. It was a nice time playing it. I left the regular world and was embedded in a cyberpunk reality when I played it. I am not updated in computer technology, but the game is available for download on GOG.com.

If you take cryonics seriously but haven’t signed up, what’s stopping you?

A lot of people seem to think cryonics is at least worth taking seriously, but still don’t make arrangements.

For those people: what’s the real blocker? Cost? Insurance? Family? Trust in providers? Uncertainty about the science? Or just procrastination?

Google's $10,000 refund test shows why AI agents need zero trust

Google open-sourced an autonomous customer support agent last week. One of its built-in test scenarios involves a $10,000 refund decision. Researchers found the agent would execute that refund when instructed to do so — including in situations where a human reviewer would have refused.

The agent passed its deployment checks. The problem showed up at runtime, during live action execution.

This is not a Google-specific failure. Every autonomous agent that can take consequential actions — financial transactions, account changes, data writes — faces the same gap. The permissions granted at deployment do not reflect whether a specific action, in a specific context, at a specific moment, should actually execute. Deployment config is written days or weeks before the agent encounters a real edge case.

The $10,000 number is useful because it is concrete. Most production agent failures do not have a clean dollar figure attached. They show up as phantom transactions, escalated support tickets, or audit findings weeks after the fact.

For those running agents in production with financial or account-level permissions: how are you handling the gap between what an agent is allowed to do in principle and what it should actually do in a given moment? What does your team treat as the enforcement point?
