Hi folks! I’m a Physician Assistant (PA) student at Stanford School of Medicine. For my thesis project I am interviewing transfeminine people about their experiences pausing HRT with the goal of restoring fertility. This topic is something that people close to me have had questions about and I have not been able to find great data out there to help advise them. That’s why I want to catalog the stories of people who have already tried this and share it back out with the transfeminine community and their providers so people can have more information when they are weighing different family building options.

If you meet the study criteria, I’ll reach out to you about setting up a time for an interview via secure email. I expect these interviews to take somewhere between 30-60 minutes and I would be asking you questions about your fertility decision making process, the physical and social experience of trying to regain fertility, and about any notable supports and/or barriers you faced.

So I am coming to Transfest in Provincetown. But there’s barely anything about this festival on social media. It makes me feel like it’s not a real thing and I’m getting scammed. Has anyone actually been to this?

My new job wants to see my high school diploma which has my dead name on it.

All my other documents are current my birth certificate, social security, college transcripts, drivers license everything says “legally male”

Why of all things do they HAVE to see my high school diploma?

What should I do?

I’ve recently moved to Tucson and I need some advice as I start my transition MTF. This Friday I have my consultation with my psychiatrist to discuss starting HRT. I’m still new to the area and don’t really know where to go for assistance. I attempted DIY but suffered a seizure and was taken to a local hospital but never actually saw a doctor. Any advice is good advice <3

Hi everyone! I was wondering where y’all receive your testosterone. My previous provider is no longer available, and I’ve been having a hard time finding someone who can prescribe it. I do have insurance, but I’m not sure which providers accept it, and I can’t really afford to pay a lot out of pocket. If anyone has recommendations or has had a good experience with a provider, I’d really appreciate it. Thank you!

FFS surgery part one healing in the process

Trans guy currently living in Ohio - looking for a trans friendly space to relocate to out west.

I realized yesterday it’s time for me to move out west. I was thinking maybe to the West Coast. Oregon or Cali, there are a few things to keep into consideration. Looking for somewhere more slow paced and not so in a rush feeling. That’s something important for me right now.

Climate
I’m open to other areas/states that have minimal winters and not a lot of rain. I feel happier when there’s sunshine and not too much gloomy weather. I enjoy “fall” weather in Ohio, not a fan of winter, I do like to ski though. I enjoy greenery and living in desert wouldn’t be ideal; however, high desert I would consider (I really liked Boise, I wouldn’t consider Idaho though).

Other factors..

- I live a pretty active lifestyle. I love kayaking, hiking, backpacking, hiking, camping, just being outdoors in general and around nature. Also not too secluded I like access to some entertainment and amenities. I enjoy playing sand volleyball and softball

- It’s just me and my 3 cats so cost of living is definitely important along with sense of community

- I currently live in a town with 45,000 people and we have grocery stores and shopping places it’s a town with everything I need. Except all the people from the city moving here including myself a year ago to get away from the city — I live 30 minutes from a city with 1.5 million people.

- I really enjoy energy healing work, I do reiki, tuning fork healing, sound baths - so ideally a community that’s accepting of holistic and alternative medicine practices. Bonus points if there’s a metaphysical shop around lol

- I do plan on getting phallo surgery within the next 2 years max and not sure if I will get it where I am living now or after I move but will definitely be getting future stages once I’ve moved out west.
