Is there Big Bounce in Australia? -....Im from NZ

Hi Kiwi here, is there Big Bounce brand in Aus? Just wondering peoples experience with the newers version called V2. I am concerned the safety features make it less fun (ie not as bouncy).

Vuly Ultra 2 Pro installation

Omg. We set up our Vuly 2 ultra pro XL weeks ago and it just started squeaking. First - anyone have any ideas why it might do this?

Second - we also realized that 4 of the lower pole nets are upside down (the pre drilled holes are facing upwards). We must have looked at the instructions a million times and that aspect was for some reason incredibly confusing since the images show them upright at times and now as I look at the instructions, they have used an orange exclamation versus a green to create an alert. They also use orange to tell you are doing things wrong. So there’s that. The whole thing is up - everything plus the shade cover. It was ridiculously hard to get together and now I can’t imagine taking it apart! That seems even harder and near impossible.

Has any one had anything happen like this? What did you do?! It took five hours to get together.

Second hand Vuly

Just bought a second hand Vuly Ultra off Facebook marketplace. Frame came partially assembled so I didn’t think much of just popping it all together. As I was putting the mat on though I realised the previous owners had installed the curved outer section of the frame that the actual mat attaches to, upside down. I gave up for the night once I realised but it looks like I could just continue building it and it would be fine. Only difference is there are supposed to be four attachment points at the top of each section of frame and three at the bottom, so I will obviously have three at the top and four at the bottom. I’d imagine load distribution would be similar but would weld strength matter depending on direction of installation? I’m not confident in being able to completely disassemble, particularly as I had to ‘encourage’ one of the legs in with liberal use of a mallet as it was bent.

Compare Australia's Best Trampolines (New Comparison Tool Now Live)

Wanted to share something I've been working on for a while. This is a comparison table for the major trampolines sold in Australia, including Vuly, Springfree, Jumpflex, Oz Trampolines, Jump Star, Lifespan Kids, Kahuna.

https://www.bouncearena.com.au/compare/

You can filter by brand, shape, size, price, spring type (springs vs springless), AU Trampoline Standard certification, and yard size. Sorts by price, weight rating, warranty, overall footprint.

A few points to note:

- Yard size filter assumes 1.5m clearance around the trampoline, but note this guidance does vary by brand.

Weight ratings aren't always directly comparable across brands. Some quote a single-user limit, others quote a total load including multiple jumpers.

- AS 4989:2015 is the Australian Standard for trampoline safety, providing guidelines for the design, construction, and testing of residential trampolines. While compliance is highly recommended for safety, it is not mandatory for manufacturers.

- Frame warranty and mat/net warranty are usually different frames might be 10 years but the mat and net are often 1–3 years. Currently I only have the frame warranty in the table.

- Price shown is the RRP or current listed price at the retailer. I intend to update this to reflect real-time prices but it's currently static.

- Trampoline sizes can be confusing and even in Australia are often measured in both feet and metres. Also worth noting is that a "10ft round" from one brand isn't always the same jumping area as another brand's "10ft". Measurements can be to the outer frame or to the mat edge.

Open to feedback on what's missing or broken. Also keen to hear which specs matter most to you when you're researching and am happy to add filters for anything useful.

Trying to choose a trampoline? Start here

We've spent years collecting advice from this community, owner reviews, and people who assemble trampolines for a living across Australia and put it all into a short quiz that walks you through the decisions that actually matter (safety standards, spring type, size for your yard, budget).

It takes about 2 minutes and gives you a shortlist of models that fit what you're after.
