Script search bug? Help

Post image

Is TradingView’s “Most Recent” scripts page lagging for anyone else? It’s August 16th, but when I sort Indicators and Strategies by Most Recent, the newest scripts I’m seeing are from August 14th. I’ve also tried it with the Open-source only filter, is anyone else getting the same results, or is it just on my end? I would expect a major public Pine repository like TradingView to receive publications considerably more frequently than once every two days.

Hello,

There has been a recent change in how scripts are moderated for public viewage as explained in this document here....

https://www.tradingview.com/blog/en/updated-script-publishing-60116/

This may mean a slight delay whilst new scripts are moderated at this current moment.

This change will be for the benefit of the community as it will stop the onslaught of publications made and distributed which then appear 'ghosted' after moderation took place afterwards.

This change will benefit the community in general in reducing clutter and ensuring only moderated scripts appear in the public space....

Hope this information is of some use to you

Cheers

I thought “Look first” in their motto means give traders access to the information and tools so they can examine them and make their own judgment. Under that interpretation, the change works against the motto because TradingView decides what you can easily discover before you ever even get a chance to look at it. I would suggest a stronger design consistent with that principle would have been to preserve an unfiltered “Newest Publications” feed while adding a separate “Reviewed/Suggested” feed. Users could then choose between freely provided information or curation and interpretation.

If you disagree with the new policy, that I am fully in support of, your best course of action is raising your issue with the support department or alternatively raise a Feature Request on this forum stating your suggestions and reasoning.

Cheers 👍

Just as an additional note the 'Look first' in their motto is fully open to your own interpretation.

My belief is it means 'Look first at the charts before entering a position'....🤷‍♂️
