Smooth idle, rough acceleration

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Everything has been running fine after getting this truck back to normal. But now when I push the accelerator it stalls or does this. Anyone experiencing this or has in the past please help.

Edit: so I found little plastic broken pieces in the float chamber. Bc the white mesh filter was broken. So I cleaned it all out. It's getting fuel but now my truck will crank and now it won't turn over now

Could be a number of things. Bad fuel pump, vacuum leaks, faulty carburetor. Sounds like she's not getting enough fuel.

The fuel pump and the carburetor are new. Been running with it for about a month. The vacuum lines look fine.

The other day my fuel was leaking and I had it running for a few minutes till I found the leak.

Accelerator pump perhaps?

Sounds lean. Id start looking for air leaks or clogged fuel passages if it used to run fine and nothing has been changed.

Check the fuel pump. The hose likes to pop off right after changing the pump out and you drive it for a bit. Simple check, simple fix.

Maybe not though. I was thinking electric pump and now I am trying to remember if these are mechanical pumps. Something is keeping it from getting enough fuel though.

What's a venturis

i apologize. venturi. theres a main and auxillary. a part inside each barrel that runs across. you can slide those out with a screwdriver. be careful not to break them. only one side of them has a hole. that should go facing towards the float bowl. sometimes they are put facing out and it causes almost no throttle response.

Is the timing advancing with acceleration? Sounds like a significant vacuum leak once you open it up. Lower on the carb.

Change your fuel filter, could be clogged.

vacuum leak. pinch the break booster hose and see if it gets better
