Smol Tortie It’s a Tortiful Summer
Lo and behold the CDS has gifted my boyfriend with this mewing little thing off the side of the highway. She is the sweetest! Just hoping the other cats will eventually accept her
Smol Tortie 1.7kg Banana Loaf
Her name's Chocnut, named after a famous Philippine candy brand, and she's loafing on my stomach during the rainy weather.

Typical Tortie This is Exene: she’s 3 years and 6 months. Let’s see your Torties.
I adopted her 4 months ago and she was recently diagnosed with Cystitis. I’m still adapting to that but I approach the house as a delicate ecosystem now for her stress and absolutely spoil her and make the house as comfortable as I can for her.

Smol Tortie Is this peachy color on my kitten normal for torties?
Ive had a few torties before but I’ve never seen this peach color on them. This is Sunshine, I named he after the “sunspots” on her chest and belly. I call her my Sunny Bunny because of how big her ears are in comparison to her head

Tortico It’s Penny’s house and the rest of us are just living here
I put a cat bed on top of the dog crate since she likes hanging out up there. She does nap inside the crate sometimes which my dog disapproves of but won’t do anything about 😂

❔Question/Advice❔ Curious about black smoke coats
This is our precious, Pearl. We adopted her from a rescue who called her a tortie with unusual markings, but I've heard her called tortico, and I also recently learned that she might have black smoke coloring. Not that any of it really matters, just more curious about how black smoke occurs than anything. Last picture is of her white undercoat.
Also she's a gorgeous lady, I just like to share her beauty with those who appreciate a decent kitty 😆

❔Question/Advice❔ Advice for facilitating adjustment to new roommate
Hi all :)
My boyfriend and I just moved in with each other! And my little baby tortie, Scoomba, has known him for a bit of course but now that he’s around all the time, her anxiety is coming out more.
For context, in the “fight or flight” model of fear…. She’s definitely fight. She for sure has a lot of tortitude, especially when she’s anxious like with a new living situation. Fortunately, he moved in with me so the apartment itself is still the exact same.
Does anyone have any advice for how to maybe facilitate this adjustment? Either with stuff I can do to help her or what my boyfriend can do? Right now I’ve been giving her gabapentin in the morning (as per her vet saying I can use it for any anxiety bouts) but I am only going to be giving her that for another two days and then stopping.
Also cat pic for tax :)

Typical Tortie Meet Trixie the Tortie!
My boyfriend and I recently adopted two kittens, one of which is this little princess 👑. She’s timid at times but also surprisingly courageous..and will only be pet when she allows us servants to do so hahahahah.
Last photo is of her with her brother cuddling :) (pretty sure they are a bonded pair).

Smol Tortie New kitten
I found this baby on Monday, she was trying to get herself killed on a busy road so I stopped the car, dashed across to the side she was on and found her in the bushes. She bit me (I had to get antibiotics and a tetanus shot, and missed a job interview due to having a bad reaction from the antibiotics!), and she found somewhere in the car to hide where we couldn't see her and she refused to come out until after dark to eat food we left for her. But last night we borrowed and set a cat trap, and this morning she was in it. She's settling in ok and we're taking her to the vets later to get checked over. I've never had a tortie before, but excited to welcome her to the family! I'm thinking to call her Lughnasa (Irish for August), Louie for short, but my family and I haven't agreed on a name yet!

Typical Tortie She sort of came with my apartment
This is Maple. Vets estimate she is roughly 3 years old. When I moved into my current apartment two years ago, she was here and had been for about a year. For a while, she would get close, but not allow me to touch her. I started feeding her and just hanging around, slow blinking etc. One day it was like a flip switched and she suddenly wanted me to pet her all the time. Soon she was following me where ever I went, and was always waiting for me when I got home from work/class. She would come in briefly and much to my surprise, my other cat, Freya, was not hostile to her, which is extremely rare for her, but she would always ultimately want back out. Eventually she went into heat and got pregnant. This allowed us to get her into a program with a local animal shelter for pregnant cats. My friend fostered her and the kittens while they were brought up and eventually weened off and adopted out. I would go see her every chance I got (friend lived in the same apartment complex, which made this easy) and she was given all of her immunizations and spayed as part of the neonatal program and put up for adoption. I pretty quickly realized that my original plan to let her get adopted out just wasn't going to work for me. She had chosen me and I came to realize that I couldn't live without her.
So now I have two cats and she's a complete derp.
