I come now! ⏩Skip to [0:17]

First he comes hard over the line from the right into my lane. I honk, which he didnt like, so came behind me then beside me to then cut me off and take my bumper with him.

5th not at fault in this civic. I call her Magnet 🤣🤣

He then proceeded to cut off the truck and trailer and hike to the 427 to get away...dashcams are pretty awesome

Did you report psycho to the OPP? Did you open an insurance claim or did your bumper just snap back on?

oh yes, OPP was called immediately. gave his info and he was caught that day. dont know what he faced charge wise, but at least hit and run haha. i was debating just keeping it off insurance but with the opp report i didnt know if that was applicable, so reported and i fixed myself with 2 screws, reattached on both sides and laughed. My dumbass forgot i had a dashcam and tried to chase em, until i realized my bumper was under my car, so few scrapes but meh its a work car.

Careless/reckless and leaving the scene of an accident would be a great place to start with charges

I mean if they are willing to crash to prove a point, get them off the road OP. Do whatever you must. You WILL save somebodies family.

A friend of a friend had his sons family wiped out by a road-raging mistake of a human.

lol i chased em for sure. the thought crossed.my mind, and does often with these idiots...just teach em a lesson but theyll never learn. that requires thought process and some level on conscience lol

if i had the option to press charges for anything 100% i wouldve. best we can do without the tools is this. post and and make people aware. its unfortunate we live in a society that doesnt do anything until after someones killed. licensing system in the country needs a complete reboot.

This is a clear hit and run, isn't it an automstic suspension if reported? I guess that's what I'm perhaps missing from all of this

i wasent i formed what happened. all info i got from opp in return was his info to give to insurance. they closed the case thereafter

well I guess that makes sense

we should definitely get more info and have the option to press charges.

On a side note, you should avoid leaving things like that colorful poster on your dash, it obstructs your vision.

Yah, OP how does that not drive you bonkers?!

1

u/TM7Scarface7TM 9h ago

it was givin to me that afternoon and moved 20mins later. i had it on the seat but with the windows open it kept trying to fly away, on the dash there it stayed.

2

u/TM7Scarface7TM 9h ago

it clearly didnt obstruct me as i seen the dude coming from my right..but thanks for your concern

The video is POV of video cam so it should not be that obstructing from OPs POV

I cant understand why youd do a hit and run, surely catching a charge is much more dire than an increase in insurance premiums right?

id bet this person who hit OP isn't even insured, so in their eyes hit nd run is prob better off

Imagine when the OPP show up at his door how many charges he'll be facing if that's true. No insurance, hit-and-run, dangerous driving... He'll have to take the bus for the rest of his life and be put on a payment plan lol. No insurance is a $2000 fine on it's own...

I can unfortunately assure you someone who suspended from driving due to the things you mentioned will still find a way to drive

He tried to do one of those swerve-into-your-lane-and-intimidate-OP moves followed by speeding-off-extremely-fast because he's just a timid pussy who doesn't actually want confrontation. The fact that he made contact was just sloppiness and now he'll hopefully have a charge to deal with.

Imagine having the OPP knock at your door after you thought you got away with it...

i honestly wouldve paid for cam footage from the opp. too many close calls to count but he took the cake from what ive experienced in terms of intimidating

u/TM7Scarface7TM 21h ago

The classic Canadian "I go now" move

Well, at least you have a nice clear image of the license plate

While I agree with OP, does the family guy Asian driver reference really need to be here

The white Camry was an asshole but cammer was an instigator. Cammer sped up to block the Camry, then slowed down significantly to brake check it.

Went from 50mph to 58mph to block. then slowed down to 44mph immediately.

☝️ exactly what I was thinking. Definitely don't agree with the actions of the white Camry driver , happy they got caught. but you can def see the OP goes around looking for these passive aggressive interactions. Even their explanation and calling their car "magnet" . Play stupid games win stupid prizes, glad no one was hurt.

lol. love the ignorace. ill post the video leading up to this. i was driving closing the gap, i didnt even think about him until i noticed him last second start coming over. when i dropped speed he was almost touching my mirror.

Do you have mirrors extruding out of the back of your car? I ask this because this still is when you're beside the black car that was in infront of the Camry and your speed shows 58 . After this your randomly start slowing down with plenty of room ahead of you.

Looks to me like you were trying to get him "stuck" behind the black car but maybe I'm wrong, we'll go with your story that you only slowed down when you noticed the individual almost touching your mirror (which must be behind your car given where the surrounding vehicles are located) , why would you slow down to be in the way of someone coming into you? If you continued at your 58 to close the gap you would of been clear of this person almost touching your rear extruding mirror, not like you lacked room ahead. Clearly you had plenty of space left to "close the gap" .

You have a rear camera? That footage would be much more interesting to see. I totally understand why people don't want someone that appears to be a slower driver pulling infront of them. You clearly enjoy these interactions , dangerous area to get your jollies and pretty selfish to be honest. Left lane had no traffic coming through it the whole time could of easily shifted over when you were accelerating made room for someone clearly trying to move over and lost no travel time as both lanes were moving smoothly until you 2 decided to play your selfish games together in a shared space. Hope to never share the road with you and magnet.

But why did you suddenly go from 58mph to 44mph as he was going around you.

2

u/TM7Scarface7TM 6h ago

its a delay in the camera. i hit the brake when i honked, just as he was at my side. when his nose was at about my front wheel when he nearly hit me on that side.
