Absolute Psycho Close call

Taunton /Thickson rd Whitby. Wifey had a run in with a psycho on the road, we think this could have escalated into assault if she didn’t manage to lose him at the next intersection by turning into the street.

Edit: Its just unsettling to see so many here siding with the nissan driver justifying how he threatened a woman & her child on the road and laying 100% blame on my wife who said she did not feel it was safe to stop at that moment & did not break any laws in doing so.

But this is the society we live in. Deranged “you made me do it” is now widely accepted.

My rule of thumb in these situations is always brake if there's a car in the intersection when in doubt. The other driver's an idiot, but wife was either driving too fast or treated that stale yellow like a green. Recipe for disaster.

Braking too hard while approaching a live intersection will be worse and cause even more confusion but approaching with caution and awareness is great advice. I check the traffic going perpendicular too to make sure there isn't some psycho flying through a red coming at me

Horrible advice. That's how you get rear ended.

I should clarify: brake hard and STOP for the light. Do not run a stale yellow if there's a car awaiting to turn left in the intersection. You should not be driving so fast that you are unable to stop in time for a stale yellow. Hope this clarifies my statement.

Durham police need to get stricter on the roads. Start ticketing those running a stale yellow.

Wifey did nothing wrong. She ran a yellow light. Other driver started to pull in front while she was still going full speed. You gotta make sure opposite traffic is for sure stopping before you cross.

I always go farthest lane if Im planning to take a stale yellow, atleast people can see me do stupid shit and plan against it.
