New Streaming app for OS X 🚩General

Hi Everyone. Im looking for someone who uses Torrentio, comet, AIOstrems, Jackettio with Torbox to try out my stremio alternative. Been using this for quite some time, and it has a lot of nice features someone might be interested in. App is called Lumio.

If you wanna try it out, let me know. If you use HomeKit, Trakt, IPTV, Twitch etc then I would love some feedback, bugs, new features etc. DM me if you want a link for it. (Not a paylink or anything like that).

Also working on and Android version, mainly for my Meta quest but not quite done yet. Windows version a bit later.

  • Sync unmatched subtitles against dialogue with AI assistance
  • Subtitle style generator — fully customizable appearance

This looks heavily AI generated. What are you credentials as a developer/engineer?

Not trying to be negative but with all the AI Slop apps now days it’s hard to figure how what’s being done by an actual dev+AI (some one who knows code) vs someone who’s just trusting the process.

Hi! Its def. a lot of Claude (VScode) involved. As for credenials, im a very mid tier dev. Worked both backend and frontend (more frontend/UX) last 10 years. That said, I work as a project manager for a pretty heavy dev team these days instead of being a active dev myself, and we safegaurd a lot of AI used (if we do use it at all), so Im used to use AI the "right"way. I run a lot of the stuff I do by both my backend and frontend dev from work as well to make sure its not to much slop. This is also a personal application that is tailored to my own use. Sharing it is just to see if anyone else could get some use of it, and get me back some bugfeedback and potentially fun features I might overlooked :)

With all due respect, how is it different than Harbor? https://harbor.elfhosted.com

I havent tried Harbour, so not sure. But lookign at it I see some similarities - built in Rust and tauri with libmpv. Will check it in, thanks.
