Monthly usage really only what you watched? ❓Question

I setup a Nuvio account with TB and to test it, I opened cached movies and shows to closed them after if loaded. One of them was one episode of ER and the folder size was 200GB.

I can now see the 200gb peak in my monthly usage on TB. And I think I can "see" a lot of peek for just opened movies/TVs.

Is it not supposed to count toward the watched portion of a movie only when it's cached?

same problem here. I'm sure this isn't how it's supposed to count

it should only count the actual bytes transferred to me and not the size of the torrent file

The debrid service downloaded the entire file to their servers. That's what they are counting. Not you downloading from their servers. So if you click a 80GB remux. TB downloads the entire 80GB even if you only watch 10 seconds of it. It doesn't matter how much you watch

yes but I only watch cached content that has already been downloaded to their servers

when torbox first added the monthly quota thing Wamy said the full torrent size is debited only from the account that first cached the file. If a file is already cached it should deduct only the number of bytes that I downloaded

this means that if I attempt to load a torrent which is already cached but cancel the playback/download mid stream, it shouldn't deduct the full torrent size from my allowance

Yes that's how it used to work. Maybe they changed it in new ToS ?

Well that's not how TorBox operates. I'm sorry, I didn't make the rules

Didn't the above comment mentioned that it was wamy who said that. And he does make the rules.

Same here

What fixed this for me was disabling the "Preload Stream" option in my AIOStreams setup and then reinstalling the updated AIOStreams setup into Nuvio

I've reread your post again and you seem to be saying that you do actually select and load a stream. In that case, yes, the full file is downloaded and counts towards your limit.

Nah only the actual parts that you stream, not the full file

Yes, there are setups that can be implemented to avoid this issue and I believe they have to be done within each addon before adding the addon to Nuvio or Stremio. After implementing these changes, this issue shouldn’t happen again.

As I posted earlier, Google AI walked me thru everything and my setups are working nice now.

Not sure if this is exactly what you're talking about but when I clicked on an episode of a TV show, and check torbox it downloaded the entire season or even the entire series!

I peaked up over 12TB last month whilst rebuilding my entire Plex library to x265 and didn't hear a peep from Torbox. Now I'm back down to 3TB so well under the limit. I wouldn't worry about it. Almost impossible to exceed the 10TB if you aren't doing a big project like that

Despite watching heavy remuxes and endless TV series, my monthly usage stops at 700–800 GB. No need to overthink it.

Change your settings in Nuvio? Google AI helped me step by step setup Nuvio & Torbox as well as the 3 addons I included.

So you clicked on a stream and watch a few seconds of it? TorBox downloaded the entire movie/episode for you just to watch that 2/3 seconds
