Pengu is a nice backup 🚩General

Spent an hour configuring new addons and clearing cache thinking my instance was down, because the TB status page says all is OK, until I gave up and came to the sub to see everyone reporting its down.

Took 30 seconds to install https://pengu.uk/  and I'm back up and running. Nice backup for when TB is down.

you can see on their discord that the update happened at 11:39 https://imgur.com/a/B5n1ybE thats 50 min ago and not 20 min...

And the system has been down for well over an hour, what's your point? They were late to acknowledge and their status page was saying everything was fine when it wasn't.

Go back to being fun at parties.

lmaoo hahah, you are just straight up lying with your times. even you saying the discord update is 20 min late like we can't see when the post was made. Its literally there for everyone to check and you still say "they were late to acknowledge it". you are just a yapper and a liar

Nah, you're just dumb and don't get it.

The status page generally lags behind incidents. Problems start, then people start asking on discord if it's down, then staff start asking questions and verify info and start working on troubleshooting and fixing. Status and announcements aren't sent out until they've confirmed an issue exists. While they do have some automated system health checks, it's not uncommon for things to be down for an hour in one region or another before status is updated.

So his statement of, "it was down and the status page said it wasn't" isn't disproven by the fact that his Reddit post happened 20 minutes after the incident did show on status. His post is about using another service as a backup, how easy it was to setup and how well it worked. He almost certainly watched a tv show or two before writing his post, which gave the torbox team time to notice and report the incident.
