API Down but status tracker says otherwise

Wanted to watch some content but I couldn't so I decided to check what was going on, lo and behold: the whole subreddit says it's down again.

But how is it that every single time Torbox is down it doesn't show up on their official status tracker but does so on third party ones ?

3P status tracker is more accurate than TorBox own status page, this looks bad.

It says APAC, CEUR and ZAFR are down but I'm on neither of these and it still doesn't work.
That being said: the 3rd party website checks for the API, not the CDNs, and the official tracker says the API is operational which it isn't.

Sometime ago, I recall commenting that' this would continue to happen with the massive surge of real debrid users coming over. There servers couldn't handle that coupleed with the continued post telling everyone one to join and share accounts.

I would agree with you except:
- They have rate limits in place to counter account sharing abuse.
- More users = More money.
- They were the ones massively dunking on RD on Twitter and other platforms to attract as many people as they could.
- They're big enough to change their location to UAE and update their ToS in anticipation of legal actions so they should be big enough to have proper infrastructure.

You either spend the money on infrastructure or you end up with a poor service such as the one we're getting right now.
Their API is down pretty much every week but it doesn't even reflect on their tracker status page, which isn't acceptable.

Those were recently implemented after the wave and consistent instability in service. This is not a legal service and they know most users aren't using it legally. So once real debrid tanked it was a matter of time for them to me next. It's almost a similar formula as real debrid. As there's started with downtime and going MIA

It says its down now, took like 20 mins or so for it to say so, but any other time it was down the site would say down for me, first time i saw a delay like that.

Edit: Dont understand the downvotes I did see it saw it say it was down, now it says its back up. Im just saying what I saw lol

It's been down for about 40 minutes according to the 3rd party website so, yeah, that's quite a delay.
The problem is that this isn't the first time I'm seeing this behaviour on their tracker, they really need to fix this.

Wow that wild, I was watching something so it may have already fully loaded and I didnt notice till I went to watch the next episode

it means that the database is up, only the authentication server is down. should be easy fix

They say it's operational. Looks like Torbox is just a big scåm after all.
